  • Hey folks, it's Chris!
Today it is just a quick video about me getting prepared for the great conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn. I'm really excited about that!
So today (17.12.2020) both planets are too far apart for capturing them with my tiny planetary webcam (ZWO ASI120MC-S), so I chose the DSLR with the much wider field of view.
The resolution of the planets are not good, and I can't set the exposure time within video mode - but nevertheless: I can see both planets together in one field of view!
Tomorrow the planets are closer and will fit inside the FOW of the ZWO - I hope it works fine by then! Hopefully it won't rain!
Clear skies to all of you!
    -Chris

Thanks for sticking it out and waiting for the clouds to part, Chris. I've been shut out for the last 8 days now with gray clouds and now a bunch of snow. The forecast isn't looking good for here in Ohio (USA), so hopefully you have much better conditions to capture them. Great viewing to you. :)

      Thanks Jayling!
I'll try again this evening, let's see. Maybe even line stream the session. Would be a first but would be super cool, too!
      Greetings
      Chris

      Hey Jayling!
I want to contact you concerning a coop-request but I can't find any email address here on RUclips and I'm not on facebook. How can I reach out to you? Thanks and clear skies! -Chris

@@catchingphotons Heya Chris, for privacy and safety concerns, I don't give out my email to anyone. The best way to contact me is to reply in the comment section of my videos as I keep up with them constantly. I have had co-op requests in the past but it's just something I'm not that interested in doing. Please don't take offense, it's just difficult enough as is to do what I do at my age. I sure hope you understand. Please take care and clear skies to ya. :)
