Not very impressive, considering you were only grinding 3-4" stumps and didn't even take them below grade. I can do the same with a small chainsaw. You had this on a large Avant and still almost stalled it a couple times.
Shall we compare apples to apples? It obviously wouldn’t make sense to buy an Avant to grind stump. However if you have the Avant power unit already why would you buy a$5000 walk behind stump grinder and “bust your butt” when you can have the machine do the work? 😎 Both are about the same money. Now if you are serious about grinding stumps then you need that $40,000 Vermeer.
I own the avant 635, and love it for tree work. But this grinder attachment a no!

Works Fine , Just not the Biggest and most powerful . Depends on what you NEED
Probably wouldn’t be too bad if you didn’t load it up so much taking big chunks off
