    I tested this exact model last spring when Rome had their demo show...I rode it a couple of times and instantly felt the difference in the park. A lot of pop off a small jump (I’m not that experienced at tricks) and I felt the difference in flex, control, carving, pop and lighter weight than my 151 carbon credit. I liked it so much..I bought it at the end of the show and rode it a couple of times after before season ended. I figured this is the board that’ll last me longer and hold up better in powder conditions than my CC. I thought a 152 would be a tad big for me considering my size (5’6”) but I feel like controlling it is no problem, and it’s light weight. Initiating a turn or a carve is like butter...almost like a surfboard feel when I was riding on fresh snow. Can’t wait to put it thru the ringer this season

    I'm super excited for this board. I wanted it last year, but it didn't come into pro form in my size until February. I'm kind of glad since I like the 2020 graphics better. I ordered it from a local shop because I didn't want to miss out on it another year.

    Picked this board up on a whim last year at the shop i work at. Expected it to fill a void in my quiver as a directional non-volume-shifted pow board. Quickly ended up become the board i grab for the majority of my day. I can take this out in any snow conditions and know its going to perform regardless. The softer flex pattern works great with my lighter weight/style of riding. Floats in pow like a dream and then rips insane carves on the cat tracks back to the lift 5 minutes later. Cant speak highly enough about this board.

    Hey man, love your reviews. I picked up a Ravine from my local shop and can't wait for next season.
    I went for a set of Stratas but walked out with a set of Falcors b/c my size was not in stock. Do you think they will pair well with this board?
    Appreciate any insight, thanks!

    • @AngrySnowboarder
      @AngrySnowboarder  4 года назад

      You have to ask yourself do you want a more surfy feel or a more precise feel. Strata's obviously more surfy, Falcor's more precise. Somewhere in there is going to be what you want.

    I am torn between the ravine and the lago open road, is there that big of a difference for the extra cost of the ravine. I am 6 ft 195 42 years old and do not ride park, but love a directional board that charges over anything in its path. I also ride a rome notch swallowtail 172 on deep pow days and ride the gnu swallowtail carver. I ride at Powder Mountain in Utah, but just took a trip to Copper mountain a few weeks ago and brought both those boards. (rome and gnu) No pow to be found so had to run groomers. The gnu washed out quite a few times on the steep groomers, so I swapped to the notch and it railed the groomers and carried a ton of speed. Not really wanting to bring the 172 swallowtail out on groomer days so looking for another board to add to the quiver that can rail groomers and handle chop and still hit some pow when I come across it. On deeper days I will still pull out the gnu and notch, but looking for that third board to fill that void. I thought the lago open road or rome ravine might fill that spot but wanted to see if the extra cost of the ravine has any more tangible advantages over the open road. thanks and love the channel.

    I'm riding on Ravine 155 this season and it's amazing, however I think that maybe something for more aggressive carving could fit me better. I 'm thinking of Bataleon Carver, could you please compare both or recommend if Carver is worth to be looked at in comparison to Ravine?

    • @AngrySnowboarder
      @AngrySnowboarder  3 года назад +2

      The Carver is stiffer throughout the whole board, has a different sidecut that lets it dig in more and hold on with less vibrations, and it's called The Carver so that should give you an idea of what it's for.

    Looking for an S rocker board for lets say average intermediate rider, im surprised to see superpig on this similair list? Every else they deem is as super stiff and burly? Anyway, I decided to skip all the "oldschool" boards and want to try the new volume shifted surfer craze thats going on.
    Freestyle aspect for me is jumping off shit in "backcountry", messing around with buttering, trees, gulleys etc etc etc. - no jibbing.
    It might be too much board for me, but then I dont mind a challenge, its sucks a bit at first but then I think it makes me a better rider. But im wondering if the S rocker boards like superpig, niche maelstrom, salamon dancehall are way too advanced?
    Favorite board to get is the superpig at the moment, the ravine is almost impossible to get where im from and the price is therefor ridiculous and i dont want to overpay 50% for a snowboard.

    • @AngrySnowboarder
      @AngrySnowboarder  3 года назад

      Most people that say something is too stiff also don't know how to fucking ride. Superpig is basically the same flex as a Warpig just more directional. Now the MTN Pig on the other hand, holy fuck that thing is stiff.

      @@OneEightNate thats what i’m worried about.. did you end up getting another board because the ravine is too soft? Did this bother you on the groomers?
