You know, at 1:26 where you say you split your hair, I couldn't help but think of that one scene in the anime Sayonara, Zetsubou-Sensei where a girl named Kitsu Chiri splits her hair like you did and says, "This is where the contest parts." This might be a long shot, but it's possible that your hair stylist might've just immediately thought of that since that scene was just a "so awkward, it's funny" kind of joke, followed by uncontrollable laughter from the teacher. It was in episode 10 at around the 8-minute mark btw.
This is almost as worse as the time when I ran into my schools principle whilst tryna go to the washroom and I accidentally knocked him our because I had to go really bad.
