Hey Guys! Just a Correction to the background origin I gave for Blue Superman in the Review, it was incorrect and actually was for the original Blue and Red Superman in the comics and not the later Energy Blue Superman that this figure is based off of. The correct Story of Superman Blue began in a 1998 Storyline where a Superman temporarily deprived of the solar energy developed energy-based abilities, which eventually forced him to adopt a blue and white containment suit to prevent the energy dispersing..sorry for the confusion and hope you enjoy the review
I agree, I wouldn't mind at all if they keep going back to this body mold for their future releases, the proportions and size on it is perfect. Thanks for coming by and checking out the video today, really appreciate it!
A man after my own heart. I loved all of the crazy 90s comic book costumes. Even if the story didn't always deliver, everything felt exciting and fresh.
Cool to see someone else singing the praises of Electric Blue Superman, definitely not a design I would have wanted for a permanent look but for the time that he looked like this it was a nice change of pace for Kal. Thanks for coming by and checking out the video!

I literally received Blue Superman yesterday after missing out on the initial release and got it for retail! I rarely comment but i watch all your videos and LIKE, just wanted you to know that Spot as you're my favorite reviewer.
Nice find getting this one ravensrevenge! were you a fan of the Blue Superman in the Comics and are you planning to get the rest of the wave to build Plastic Man? I really appreciate you coming by and not only checking out the video today but for also leaving a comment, I really do appreciate it and thank you for the kind words :)
@@TheReviewSpot You're most welcome Spot! Your channel is the main reason for me to start collecting McFarlane figures so thank you. I've always liked Superman since I was a child and can remember my mom buying me all the toys, movies, etc. Batman being my 1st favorite. I already have Batman and GL John Stuart to go with this figure but I'm still searching for Red at a reasonable price and Aquaman is also coming soon. Spot keep doing these videos they're great and your humor always brings genuine smiles and laughs outta me lol

Hmmm I might have this one in my Comic Collection actually, I seemed to have been buying up a lot of comics of Superman around this time, super cool looking cover huh?
@@TheReviewSpot it is! It's the first appearance of this costume. There's a couple of versions but it shows what the electricity effect that's packed with the figure is supposed to be replicating.
LOVE this Superman. ...and haven´t read the 90s story (just when he got changed in the JLA´s Morrison´s run) but, by hat you told us, it is the same concept as the old comic of Superman Red and Superman Blue. Already have Silver Age GL purchased.... Superman Blue (or Fire) I´ll be getting next. Would like to have Superman Red but I´m more than happy to own Blue. Guess what? Up until now I didn´t notice that this costume doesn´t have a cape. Looks amazing, don´t get me wrong, but Superman should always have a cape. Either white or that baby blue would have worked fine...or maybe a gradient of both colors! PS Also, while everyone calls the 90s hairstyle of Superman a mullet...I recall that the artist that first designed him like that said that it was just long hair.
Sorry Lester I had given in the review the wrong origin story to this version of Blue Superman, he wasn't split in half when trying to boost his IQ, he became a conduit of energy and needed to design himself a Suit in order to properly control his new powers
@@TheReviewSpot So the story you told was the original. That´s fine as well. I´d like to own the Superman Blue/Red story but while doing a search seems very complicated. And, in Spain, they haven´t published it. PS If your first 3 choices for Superman are: original, New 52 and then Blue... I´m sure the 4th place would be Justice Lord. So, where would you place Superman Red?
Superman Red I would probably just group together with Superman Blue because once he was split in the Comics you generally would see them together and other than really the colours they are the same looking Superman, between the two colours though I like the look of Superman Blue more
@@TheReviewSpot I´m glad they went with Blue as the main choice too. Not only because, yes Superman also wears red and yellow, but he´s been known as the Big Blue (since blue is more prominant) while Shazam is the Big Red Cheese (although not in the run) and Flash is always there as the main red character. ...other thought, while Flash looks amazing and sleek in red I wonder why he was never designed in yellow. Since he represents lighting and lighting is always shown as yellow.
:)) No, you don't have to add another 3rd of the money to US prices. That's just what USD comes out as in your local curency. It's not more expensive, you just don't have the same currency as the US. Canadians and australians are always funny this way, they always think that 50 USD should be also 50 in their local, unique currency that has a completely different value. :) Every other country in the world has to convert a foreign pricing to their local currency. Its the same money, after conversion. It doesnt become more or less. 50 USD is not 50 canadian rubles simply because you have a different , distinct currency. Its not more money, it just comes out as a higher number because that the money in canada. 50 USD is almost 400 Hong Kong Dollars. Should those guys pretend that they're paying 8 times more than US ? :D
I'm not following you at all, if something sells for 50 USD on Ebay, it would convert to 68.38 in Canadian. If you're a US Collector, you're paying 50.00 online for that figure, whether the argument is costs of living are cheaper, Americans make less whatever it is, from the standpoint of myself buying figures online, I'm not paying what a US collector is paying for the same figure, I'm paying more

Thanks for the correction.
no problemo!
Gotta say, I like the blue bleeding through the white a bit. Gives it an energy glow effect.
This body from mcfalane on DC is the best proportions till now, if you have this on hand is superior
