Enchanting, the waterfront gallery west of the moon.

I hear that place is almost self contained as in like, no high rise buildings allowed, no franchise outlets such as Safeway, Save On Foods, Burger King, McDonald's, Boston Pizza just to name a few. Now although you can use regular Canadian currency, I hear they also have their own currency that's actually legal tender, now if that's true, I would be rather curious as to how that works.

You are correct. To keep its natural beauty they decided on keeping the business very local. No Mcdonalds!! Yay! Not sure about the currency. I've only ever seen or used CAD. Thanks for watching!!

@@10minutetours: It's such a coincidence you should send me this right after I went to Salt Spring Island for the first time just three days ago. OH! And speaking of the currency I asked three people about that the first two knew very little about it, but the third who was a long time resident told me yes it was true for a while and places or shops had to accept it just like the regular but it didn't last long, as it wasn't working out because the limitations on it's legal tenderness was causing financial rifts in relation to the regular Canadian currency. However, I'm quite sure that such an undertaking of that sort of currency would not meet the approval of the provincial or federal government unquote.
