I've never put a turbo on anything so my question is. I'm looking to make an absolute sleeper out of my 4.3 ltr VTEC V6 in my GMC Sonoma. I want to put a turbo on it for starters. Do you think it's safe to do so?
@@juggaloforlife4682I'm running Powerdyne supercharger on my 98 S10 4.3. Still have some work to do, but bolted on no tune yet it's made it more fun. Running about 5-6lbs boost

Wasn't planning to race on the track, and though a '96, this thing is near show room condition. I've been wrenching for over 45 years, last 25 in my own shop, now declared disabled so I'm officially worn out. And the disability check isn't enough to live on, so now I'll settle for a turbo. And it's good to see a man taking care of his family and raising his kids right. Looks like there's hope for this world after all. Great video you shared here, kept me watching with a smile all the way through. Thank you, sir.

LS Who??? That's awesome
Very interesting, i subscribed to ur channel
That is such a cool build man... I just snatched a 4.3 with 300,000 miles out of my rcsb silverado 03 and dropped a monster 5.3 ls in it. Made close to 400 to the wheels NA. I couldn't kill the little 4.3 and we tried. What wheel setup is that 22×10? And tire size? It looks killer and different
20x10 with 245/45/20 👊
Just found ya, if that is a nv3500 you’re pushing it hard also love the content
Yeah I have a spare ready to go 🤘
@@lifeonlimiter4519 im to attempt more soon goal is 650 ill let you know how it goes lol
@@lifeonlimiter4519if you were to build the transmission would that help with reliability in the trans?
Holy shit! Listen to that thing!
The are Moto Metal Wheels. What are on the blue and OG truck now?
Clean truck
Sounds good
Nice work brother, what rims are those? I know probably 18 but do you have the manufacturer?
Yea boi 😎
not bad good numbers. theres a guy in louisana that has a turbo v6 making 460hp 540 torque. fun truck. E85 or better fuel al together wakes them up
Stock?
@@alcidesbrum4378 for the most part. Working the rings will make it live longer
@@ThanatoViper stock connect Rod? Thanks for reply.
@alcides brum I never really asked. I've seen it on the dyno and road in it. But some guys don't give up much when it comes to there engines
E85 wakes up anything that has boost.
I know you said you used your old MAP sensor on the marine intake but did you then swap to a 2 bar sensor when you did the turbo? Happen to recall what you used?
If you like this go watch the guys on PowerNation build a turbo 4.3 it’s insane
Ls swapping my 98 Cheyenne gonna take the 4.3 out and turbo it. Hopefully it’ll be something like this
What ecu are you running?? For the tunning
🙌🙌🙌 4.3 powaaaa!!!
Are you using the original injection system in this video?
I put the same octane booster in the Buick all summer 🤣
👌👊
what wheel setup is that? i got 265/75/16s on moto metals on mu leveled but want to do a 2/4 lower. not sure theyll fit
this is how you create little gearheads
He'll yeah subbed
Flex fuel sensor etc. ,e85 and water wetter. Party party. Might need a fuel pump to keep up with feeding the e85.
You know that engine has factory oil feed and drain lines on it. At the oil cooler.
I know this is an older video, but is this just 91 octane and you did the octane booster at 12 lbs boost?
Is that the mercruiser marine intake?
Besides the turbo what are the rest of the specs you did to your truck?? I have a 4.8 gmc and want to do the same I but I don’t know much about trucks. Someone help.
Where is a dyno shop in Washington? just moved up here and need to get my truck tuned
500 rwtq, those poor cast iron rods.
Nice build
I noticed the Washington plate I'm over in Northeast Washington whereabouts are you I'm wondering because I haven't found any dyno shops near me
What intercooler did you use?
