I have a big big request if it's not a problem, i have a project coming up with some dancers and I wanted to used bonk to create sound with noise, the general idea is the dancers stomping creating a sound picked up by microphones, would it be possible for you to do a small video tutorial on bonk to create different sounds and noise, if it's near impossible to do then it's not a problem but if you could you'd have my gratitude Thanks
Under "options" go to "file preferences" and make sure max is actually looking for the location of the file. I just pointed it towards my whole itunes library. Hope that helps.

First of all, your tutorials are hilarious and informative. Well done. Unfortunately I'm having trouble from the get-go. My mp3 won't play. Audio is on, the mp3 is in the project folder, I've added it to the project, clicked the "import" message, etc. No dice. In addition, the bonk~ object doesn't seem to be registering, even after restarting Max and my computer. It's weird, I can access the bonk~ help file, but the object itself doesn't have any inputs or outputs. I'm running 6.1.3. Thanks!

hello ,id like to suggest something for you to build ,please have a look at ipads sample wiz- i cant sleep at night wondering if its possible to make a 10 point simultaneously touchable adsr field in max or reaktor and a 10 point simultaneously playable waveform interface with notes on the vertical (like the ones in samplewiz) the thing is im looking at buying a 1.5 k 3m 20 point touchscreen

Hey, I'm on Max 6.0.7, so that could very well be the issue. My guess is that there is some attribute than is on by default in my version but not yours. In particular, I notice that jit.phys.world has an attribute called automatic--when I turn this attribute off my patch stops working. Maybe try checking if this attribute is off in your patch? Also, try checking for other attributes that might need to be toggled to make things work. Let me know if you figure out what's up!
Hey I'm having problems with my patch can i send it to you to check it out and see whats wrong with it? once i hook up the bang from the t 0.5 b to the floating point object to the jit.matrix 3 float32 1 box my balls loose their gravity properties and sit in the middle of the box and don't jump around but don't increase in scale to the music. I also cannot make this patch work using Max 6 Version 6.0.7. Music loads and plays, but colliding bodies never happens. I tried different min velocity threshold settings and different mp3 files. Any ideas?
Really weird. Not 100% sure I know how to help you. Can you compress your project folder and send it to me? Also, try double-clicking the buffer~ to make sure it's actually loaded your sound; and checking the Max window for errors. Not sure what's with Max not finding bonk, though. Are you sure it's in Max6/Cycling '74?
Hello! My bonk~ does work, but I can't give the arguments npoints 256, it's really weird. And I get an error that states: bad arguments for message "bonk~". Anyone has some thoughts?
what version of max are you running? this doesn't work for me on 6.0.5. ... updating the scale matrix seems to reset position matrix! or am i missing something ?!

made the exact same thing , even used your patch, but can't seem to get the grey balls freely moving.. would it be because of the music? they seem to stay in the same position and pulse like a speaker..
Yeah, okay. You might be out of luck, unfortunately. The problem is that in newer versions of Max the scale parameter doesn't cause collisions in quite the same way as it used to. You'll have to adapt this patch to use the impulse message, unfortunately. Good luck, let me know if you've got any specific questions I can help with.
6.0.7? Is that a beta as I just installed Max on my new MBP! Strange issue... It's not the automatic thing as that seems to do nothing. Could very well be there's just an issue with 6.0.5. Where did you get your installer?
I've tried setting @automatic on and off - doesn't help. I'm pretty sure it's jit.phys.multiple's fault. i'll keep looking for a solution but i'm afraid we'll have to wait for 6.0.7 update.
