Parents bear some responsibility for how a child develops and matures. We never talk about that in society but it used to be understood. I have friends who have spent years cultivating that early on, they didn't give instant access to social media and they had weekly discussions about all of this. They chose to be parents and not friends with their kids. This is tragic but if parents are not responsible for the moral character and inner strength of their kid, helping them make wise choices by giving them consequences etc,...I mean if they don't lay the foundation who will?
