    I remember seeing this organ back in January of 2000 when I was visiting.

    It has a certain charming fairground organ quality. Can't say it's my cup of tea being used to English organs, but it's definitely different.

      It's an organ in the Spanish tradition, with extensive chamade works and a split keyboard. Regardless of the material, that already explains much of the difference.

    There is some Bach on the CD along with other composers. More info on the Move website.

    It isn´t the only bamboe organ in the world. In Roeselare is another one, even available for Hauptwerk!

    Perhaps quaint is a better way of putting it. It’s not meant to compete with a good cathedral organ.

      This was probably recorded before major rehabilitation work was done to tune it and restore it to proper working order. Newer recordings seems to sound better compared to the one on this video.

      Imagine 200 year old bamboo organ. Does that thing decompose?

    • @QUIAPOPOWERPOINTMASS
      @QUIAPOPOWERPOINTMASS Год назад

      Its due to the weather condition thats why it sounds awful

      I won't expect much from a 200 year old organ made of wood though.

      Blame the weather over here. If you at least hear about it, it gets crazy. It can rain for literal days here and it can get blazing hot.
