The most beneficial way to make grinding for gold worth it is to grind on stages that drop something useful. So the best way to pay for suits you want that have a net cost of gold is to simultaneously work on evolving one or more suits. Star Sea is _really_ useful simply as a prize for building up gold for required and wanted suits, because its only gold costs are in evolution and crafting. Especially if you're like me and have already finished both colors of Phalaenopsis, Higanbana Princess, Chocolate Housemaid, Princess Jellyfish, and all the parts of Story of Shanghai, Maple of Leaf Ninja, and Red Hood's Adventure that don't require pavilion drops. Once you've reached the point of evolving the last chapter's two new evolved suits, you can easily run out of useful drops you can do in a day before running out of stamina without something like Star Sea. Stunning Beauty has the advantage of not costing diamonds, but it still requires spending gold in the store. It also requires lots of crystal shoes. So if you're building it and a target suit, you might need to grind on something outside of their requirements to build the gold they need. But the most important aspect is that you're building what you want. If you like Stunning Beauty best, go for it!

When I first started Star Sea I was slightly overwhelmed but finishing it gave me the push to start the other harder lifetime suits. Black Swan wasn't bad, but man Grice is so much more intense than them. I'll get there eventually though!

I managed to finish the Star Sea in my first 2½ months of playing. I think a lot of newer players might give upon life time suits after seeing it take a really long time for older players, and don't realise that it has to do with drop rates and most people only using the 3 free attempts daily.
