You must admit the variety of colours of these old cruisers look just great in comparison to the boring black,grey and silver Audis,BMW’s and Volkswagens we have around today.

I REALLY LOVE THIS VIDEO MECUM AUCTIONS
I'm in the UK, and for various reasons suffer interminal insomnia, mostly due to extreme neuralgia /pain issues, so unless Live stream from USA available,.. The best for me, 4 to 7hrs long often, watching all of, plenty of past vids here, the best medicine for me! I Love this sheet! Only in the good ol USofA! Johnny H in the UK.

There’s always a couple dozen “poor” people who show up with a large chunk of their life savings bidding on their dream car who then get outbid by a billionaires minion.

I’m not sure what the ambulance ride will cost, don’t know the hospital bill for them to run a check on my heart. You might remember what the cheapest pickup Chevy made in 1969. $1999.99. How do people afford a new pickup or a family size car? Great talkin at you, but, dang I’m old to, two, 2, too! Phew!
@@user-hb8be5wb4q I hear that, Hell, my dream car (70 Superbird) depending on motor & options can fetch $250,0000, when new? $4,500 lol, dealers couldn't sell them then, people thought they were so ugly some dealers took off the nose comes & wings and sold them as regular Roadrunners lol

Is it me or do the cars at Mecum seem to be a lot more expensive than the cars at Barrett-Jackson?
@les antoine On the same Premium Saturday Night, B=J would be selling a Delahaye for 2 mil, and follow that with a Duesenburg........Mecum is more a volume seller with they mecum rule, and deals on commission offered to high-end bidders. Notice how many resto-mods that cost 200-300K, and 2 yrs. to build...sell for under 100K. Those cars are from dreamers who left a deposit, came up with some cash along the build, and than disappeared. The shop is trying to balance the books.

This is Saturday, all the high end vehicles auctioned off, check Thursday sales , nice cars for the average buyers, same as Barrett Jackson, probably more reasonable vehicles at this auction.
$61K for a 67 L-71 is a real steal!! should have been double that!🤣

Mecum really needs to drop the "Tobacco Auction" Style! STFU! At least they stopped Matt Moreveck from constantly pounding the gavel before bidding was over. Still, so damned annoying. Give us the Gooding Auctioneer, that guy is a Gem!
I love to watch the auctions, but I always have the sound turned off, because it's so incredibly annoying. Makes me want to strangle the auctioneer in the first 2 seconds.

This guy is confusing as hell as an auctioneer. The price controller can't even keep up. I watch all the time on T.V., it's never as hard to follow as this.
He'll say; "60's the bid, then he says we have 59 we need 60"...The bid is what's already bid, not the next one..he's trying to go to fast.
The poor price changer is going nuts..😄 I see others agree, this guy's trying to be to fast and he's unintelligible.

Mecum needs to find some real auctioneers. There's Amish auctioneers that are leagues better than these guys. Go check out Barrett Jackson for a great collector car auction experience.
