You are a really Good Engineer
Very Nice and very good brother. Thank you
Very Nice brother. Thank you
شكراً جزيلاً وجهودك مباركة مهندس ربي يوفقك ويحفظك،
عندنا طلب اذا امكن ان تعمل فيديو شرح pushover analysis وشكراً جزيلاً مقدماً
انشاء الله
really appreciate !
I'm curious about the station location in Design Detail like Leg1, Leg2, and so on. Could you please elaborate on the location of these?
Check wall segments coordinates and compare to design summary report
Thanka a lot brother
which code you r following ?
ACI 318-14! you can check it from Design Details Summary Report (DDSR) that pops up when u right click on the previously designed section of shear wall.
By selecting the ACI 318-14 code in ETABS, the program computes the nominal shear strength of the section as the sum of the concrete shear strength (Vc) and the shear strength provided by the reinforcement (Vs). This can be found in DDSR.
To ensure the wall has sufficient strength to resist the factored axial-bending interaction, I used the interaction diagram option available in the section Designer of ETABS. This allows me to assess the wall's capacity in resisting the combined axial and bending forces.
Hi Tarek, I have a question on shear wall design in etabs. I use uniform reinforcment method in etabs to design a shear wall and it tells me 4% longi rebar is required. Since uniform reinforcement is not very efficient, I would rather put more rebar in the boundary element. Can this be achieved in etabs? like etabs telling you how much rebar to put in the boundary element?
ETABS does not tell you how much steel rebar you should put at the boundaries of shear wall. however it is a good idea to add more steel at the boundaries because you will provide more ductility to shear wall under seismic action (preferable behavior) and it could be more economical by distributing minimum reinforcement requirements between boundaries.
Draw your section using section designer and check D/C ratio, if 0.9 < D/C < 1 then your section is safe and economical.
@@Eng.tarekyoussef Thank you
@@Eng.tarekyoussefSir, Can we add end columns and asign them to the wall as border element with the same pier number and minimum allowed reinforcement along the rest of the wall?
Please More Video Upload
What about the boundry zone?
I have applied a uniform distributed reinforcement for the shear walls and used the section designer in ETABS to verify the flexural-axial capacity of the walls using the interaction diagram.
To learn more about the boundary zone calculation and specific requirements, I will be creating a new video.
Stay tuned for updates!
@@Eng.tarekyoussef okay I will be
WHY DID YOU USE TOP STATION LOCTION ? WHY NOT BOTTOM?
You need to use the larger value that results in a higher amount of reinforcement, whether it is located at the top or bottom location.
