    This sounds like a great activity to do from time to time. I think checking in each day to such a degree with each individual student could ware out a teacher and a student to the point of apathy towards the "Do Now Sheets." In other words, it will tend to lose its luster. I really like the effort at checking in though. That is very commendable. I think the beginning of class however needs to transition into the day's teaching given the brain research- students peak listening and attention time is the first 20 minute window. I therefore utilize the warm-up activity to springboard right into the day's lesson given the "optimal" attention window of my students.

    I like DO Now activities, but since now i have over 70 students in my class its hard everyday to keep up. I miss having 20 or 18 students in my class. I was teaching in an international schl but now i moved back to my country with local setting. But i support Do nows!!!!

    I love this! Even though I do not have a self-paced blended learning classroom, I can see how this would be valuable in my classroom, plus provide more connection with my students.
