yup...I had few weeks where I was constantly thinking of how better would be to take my own life. I never did it because I kept thinking that I have to be here for my kids. But I can totally understand the guy.
Months ago I stumbled across your videos. From all the ones I watched, YOU gave me HOPE. Months later, with your tips and encouragement, I am pain free most days but continue to stay active and exercise. It will be my way of life forever! I am not even sure how I even ended up with L5/SI ruptured disc but you're right... The pain is isolating and can be horrific. Keep on helping others! You really make an impact!
I suffer from chronic pain. It’s been 4 years since I injured my back lifting a dumbbell wrong. The depression and dark place it took me to was instant. I never experienced the depression in my life prior to the injury. So I knew it was the back pain. I got an MRI and told the MRI specialist I think my back pain was making me feel down and depressed. He rudely said I need to talk to another doctor and my back wasn’t the reason why I was feeling down and depressed. I was extremely frustrated with the MRI specialist and knew that day I was going to have to figure this pain out on my own. The medical industry wasn’t going to help me. I haven’t seen a doctor since. I still deal with chronic pain but it is getting better. I agree that in most cases the medical field isn’t a help for chronic back pain
You are absolutely right. Of course, there is no excuse to kill another person, but the guy obviously was not in the right state of mind because of the chronic pain and depression.
i was jerked around for 3 yrs- misdiagnosed and mistreated by "a major hospital" in nyc- recently had nerve ablasion and now need l4l5 basivertebral nerve ablasion... totally destroyed my life -- i now reside in a super dark place
@@Fitness4BackPain ur lips to g-ds ears-- was even in a darker place once (wanted to end things) for an ankle injury and gabapentin-- im just prayin this ablasion helps and there can be a easy solution (altho i doubt it) for the degenerative disc disease i got at l4l5--
Nice chat. It's true we as individuals need to manage our own medical care while taking in western and eastern methods. I'm a combat veteran suffering from chronic back pain as degenerative disc disease. In addition to other service connected disabilities. It's a difficult path to walk alone and finding tribes such as yours is necessary. Thank you sir.
You hit it on the head brother. I was told after fusion surgery that depression is common with back/neck pain after the surgery for a variety of reasons, and to reach out if it occurred. Fortunately I recovered well. And you are absolutely correct that diet, exercise, and a healthy lifestyle are key. I feel bad for this kid in a way, but nothing justifies what he did
Do you believe in the John Sarno approach to curing back pain? That's what worked for me, your approach literallay IS the 'medical model', it's much the same as the physios and chiros: muscular and structural activities, and no focus on trauma and suppressed emotions
This comment just shows we have never worked together before. My approach is NOT the medical model. I talk heavy about fitness on my channel but that’s not the step by step process I take with people to overcome chronic back pain. I do lean on the neuroplastic drivers of pain pretty heavily as well.
@ I’ve watched your videos and I’ve never seen you talk about repressed emotions. So yes, my context is your publicly available content. Kudos for you doing that type of work in private There’s a big difference between nueroplasticity and working through trauma, though
Same thing I hurt my back when I was 19 and diagnosed with two herniated discs I'm 33 now and alot better from doing exercises for years to strengthen my core and glutes. Now I have a partial slap tear in my shoulder haha I can't win. Also I live in Hamburg New York and in the last two weeks we've had three storms. One with four feet of snow one with a foot and now today we got another 5 feet. Shoveling is killing me man haha
It’s quite possible that Luigi has saved countless lives by his actions. It’s all in how you want to look at it ! The person he shot you could say was a murderer also ?
This spinal fusion x-ray doesn't look good. It looks like they didn't replace the damaged disc with a spacer to let the vertebrae fuse. You can see Luigi had spondylolisthesis, and they didn't fix it.
I had back fusion at 63 but have to deal with it, not easy I had the same fusion but have to stretch etc can’t blame Dr I choose to do it so look in the mirror
anger and lack of sympathy towards the health care insurance industry is understandable. But murder is not when there were other avenues to take; yet, people need help with chronic pain! it's a wake up call for the industry to be more compassionate and maybe the US should move towards universal healthcare. There's something kind of immoral about profiting off of people's health issues anyway.
Imagine if we did away with insurance companies and everybody just paid a flat tax into a pool that would cover everyone’s healthcare cost. We would still have to deny some claims. Otherwise we wouldn’t ever be able to pay for everyone’s healthcare whether it’s necessary or not.
Chronic lower back pain will take you to a level of depression you can never imagine.
Not many people understand that

I’m glad you popped into my feed. You get it and I appreciate that. Be talking to you later. Thanks.
Everything happens for a reason!

You don’t have to stay there though. You can still work on building the right road out.

I immediately thought of you when they said they found “back mechanic” book in his Amazon. Was wondering if you were gonna make a video
This is my world!
No sympathy for the healthcare companies.

It may just change things! These people think they are untouchable!
Dr. Stuart McGill probably has the best system For rehabbing back damage!
Great stuff I subbed

Did they already have the trial?
Not yet
I have a feeling there will never be a trial. This guy is probably going to get offed in prison.

Yeah looks like they tried to correct the disc sliding but it didn’t really even do it….

Great perspective
