I know many brands. Are lowering their price by deleting things. But no vent fan? That is just silly. The whole idea of an RV, is to go camping. But still maintain a semi civilized lifestyle.
This brand has actually been that way for years but I do agree it's one step too far for my taste
Love the walk around bed and the SOFA “option”💥💥💥but a $33,000 MSRP RV with only 900 lbs of CCC😬a tiny sink and 2 burner stove, a plastic toilet, a shower curtain that will drip water all over the floor and NO DOLLAR STORE 4” POOP EXHAUSTING FAN 😳
Good entry level option for coupes, and those with young small families. Growing up, 6 of us would camp in a Jayco tent trailer and we loved every minute of it. Enjoyment can be had in a small trailer.
Absolutely
nice camper. i feel the TV placement is not optimal. Sure you are not going camping to watch TV, but in extreme weather conditions where you have to be inside, the tv placement could be important. IMHO
Tight for couples but great for solo with really good quality and a very affordable price.
Great video,pass on camper.
fair enough!
#RVNerdHerd 🎉 😊 🎉
Hey Thanks Nerd! You sitting at the dinette was really appreciated - I thought the table was oddly high (probably due to step-up) and that really helped.
my pleasure!
Okay, you've been making my "solo camper" heart happy lately. #ThanksNerd. 🥰
☺
Like this little camper. I would get this in the fiberglass option. For a small camper the interior is pretty big. I prefer the model with a slide out. I like the colors. for a tiny camper, the bathroom is pretty nice. wish it had a porcelain toilet. like the shower has a shower surround. most tiny campus don’t have the big fan of Jayco. They make a great product. Thank you. Have a good day!
TY Patrick!
Considering this is at most a couple's camper, I feel the dinette could be downsized to just a 2 seat. I think this would greatly reduce the amount of dinette (if any) that overhangs the slide floor. This would give access to the bathroom in transit.
When I think “couple’s camper” I think of a comfortable sofa or theater seating😁not a decades old diner booth dinette😢
I do appreciate the honesty and integrity that you have there Josh. It is much appreciated.
If I were going to order one of these I would definitely want the fiberglass exterior. I would want the more aggressive off road package. I would want a sofa rather than a dinette and I would prefer a flat griddle on the side or something like that. I would definitely want two drawers but that would be a lower priority. I also would want the fan in the bathroom as you mentioned. It would draw air in over by the bed and vent out the hot air from the top. I think that would be essential.
Did I just describe a geopro?
Well, that might be my next one...
Take care of your cold and have a good rest of the week.
Pat
Better now thankfully
We had one of these from the Idaho plant (COVID build) I hope they upped their build quality since then. The no cover stove kinda eliminates the place to set a TV. Thanks for toughing this one out 🤢 feel better!
TY for listening thru my stuffed nose
Hi ya Uncle Josh 😀 👋 ! I'm so sorry that you're not feeling so good, that's horrible!!
I always appreciate you even though I don't always say it, you are THEE MAN, NOBODY compares to YOU!!
I sure hope that you feel better real soon my friend, take it easy!!
❤😍🥰🤩🥰❣️🤠🤗😷🤢🤮🤧🥵🥶😰😨😭🛌🫅
Your friend,
Didi👵👋
Thanks so much
@JoshtheRVNerd You are so welcome Uncle Josh! 🌹
As always, great video! 🇺🇸
Thanks again!
Cool little rig, I like the solar option. I hope you get to feeling better sooner than later and I hope the lady that smacked her head at the rv show is doing ok :(
Thanks for the upload and presentation!
I walked with them out to their vehicle to make sure she was fine. she was perfectly lucid thankfully but definitely had a few stitches coming
Swap out that dinette for a dine-ofa and it's perfect!
It's available as an option last I knew
We just need another yard of countertop and this one would be perfect .
Hey thanks nerd!
you bet!
good video josh
The counter space is little bit of deal breaker
My kind of camper. No need for a TV when I'm off camping.
I wish it had a countertop extension and a larger grey tank. We already struggle with a 25 gallon grey.
I could see that being a problem
Tin skin
Hey Josh when are you going to drop another market update?? I look forward to those especially on the used side. Thanks again!
I tend to do those the first of every month
Which means tomorrow :)
Idea for a vid: RV protection while travelling and in winter. We are looking at an RV and one thing I don't like is it has so many large windows. How do you protect windows from flying rocks while travelling on busy highways? (Having a windshield make it to three years in a car here is a blessing, if you highway travel daily.) Is there such a thing as outside window covers? Can you put a tarp over the entire RV during travel to protect windows? Is this an issue people even have? Also (moving away from windows), do you think tarps covering entire RV and motorhomes in winter (I live in Canada) trap in moisture from condensation and could possibly cause water damage issues by pooling and seeping into gaps or though vents on the top of the unit? Should people be using a tarp to protect units in winter? Thanks. (I just found your channel and think it is superb!)
Hmm.. that's not an awful idea. Ty
Josh I love your videos but I have a request…I will hopefully be a first time Camper Owner and am looking at the Hideout 175BH. Could you please do a video with this camper if there is one in your area? Thanks 😊
Lot of hideout models I’d like to get thru. I’m not sure we have them in our lineup as it turns out which means I can’t really go thru them. Just lacking opportunity
Like camper, but a no slide preference.
Try this one instead ruclips.net/video/pkZu3XYogA0/видео.html
I'm always confused why it's so rare to see campers in the 5K-6K pound max weight. They're either super tiny like this, and the next size up seems to be almost twice the max weight. Maybe because of the various vehicles that typically tow them? I think something in the 6K to 6.5K max weight would be a great size for the GMC Canyon we'd like to get.
that's because of the gap/jump from single to tandem axle and all the hardware that goes with it and change in CCC you experience
I don't normally comment on pricing, but $33k msrp is criminal. I suspect it wasn't too long ago that this camper could be had for $12k, including an oven and a fan in the bath. Bish's discount is substantial, but this camper simply isn't worth the price for what you get.
MSRP thankfully isn't our sale price and a great example of why I tell people shopping based on MSRP (which is practically arbitrary anymore) isn't a good idea
@@JoshtheRVNerdplease do p0p00pppp0pp000😅p00p00pp
Aluminum, because it is lighter.
It needs Solar.
But, I'm not a fan of the interior size, features or layout.
So really.. not your rig!
I saw no drawer for the kitchen. I know this isn't the only trailer that doesn't have this. What solution do you suggest for possible customer that gets a trailer without but would like a drawer for utensils?
None in this one. Best I could suggest is a sort of silverware organizer you could grab when needed
DITCH THE SLIDE AND MAYBE.
Try this one ruclips.net/video/pkZu3XYogA0/видео.html
1) I prefer the fiberglass look over tin skin look.
2) camper would soot the need for a single weekend fishing camper.
3) Table could work for a single, but not for two. Too cramped. I guess. Soda and eat off of a tv try would be better.
4) would the term “RV Full” be a better term for that bed?
5). You need to fix yourself a Hot Toddy. Here is the recipe:
A) Fix yourself a cup of your favorite hot tea. Tea is good for you as it has all those antioxidants and stuff in it.
B) Add some real honey 🍯 and stir. The honey will sooth your throat.
C) Add some Jack Daniels Honey and stir. Any whiskey or bourbon would do, but I use the honey flavor to keep with the honey that you added. The whiskey will sooth your soul and help you sleep. Don’t be chinsy on the whiskey either. The more you add the more it helps and the better your sleep.
D) Option, add a squeeze of some lemon 🍋 juice to taste. Not much. I typically don’t with mine.
E) Repeat the drink often and have a good night’s rest. You’ll feel better.
6) Do RV dealers sell a variety of mattress like the bed stores do, or is everyone pretty much forced to buy from RVmatress.com or someplace?
7) a drop down shelf next to the sink by the entryway would be a good add on for extra counter space.
8) Doesn’t look like the slide would even pass by a tv holder on the wall, to say the least for a tv. That spot would be for viewing in bed I’d say preferably. Neck wrecker from the table seating.
9) nice to see the fluffy friendly toilet, or as another RUclipsr named Matt would call that a “Prime Pooping Position”. Can one tie into that light to have a vent fan installed? I would imagine so/
10) Definitely change out the tires. I’m sure the bumper is only rated for 250 pounds so a second spare probably would over rate the bumper. 😞 Not problem if you towing by truck, just throw it in the truck bed (unless you put it under the bedroom bed taking up other storage 😞) but it could be a problem if pulling this thing with a Jeep.
37) Thanks Nerd 🤓 for another great video. You never knew that your second career was gonna make you famous did ya 😂
1.) I prefer that look as well
4.) Probably but I don't think we're going to change how the industry presents them any time soon
6.) Typically dealers dont touch bedding due to the space required to store all the stuff. And the fact a dedicated mattress store does volume and gets pricing we couldn't hope to match
So then as far as bedding goes, you have to shop online rolling the dice that you picked the right one without testing it? If so, then that sucks.
“No vent”WHAT
i know..
I'd like to see you open a window in a review.
Noted!
Camper Queen bed!!! 👎👎👎 Sorry, no way!
I totally get it
