The KRS(Krishna Raja Sagar) Dam of Mysore built by the Dewan of Mysore asthan and the engineer Sir. M. Vishveswarayya (in honour of whom National Engineers day is celebrated) hails from Mysore and helped in enriching this land to be agriculturally strong. There’s no contribution of Tipu sultan or Hyder Ali for the present day mysore to say the least.
