Your reference to Minnie Pearl reminded me of a story she told. She said that late one Saturday night she was walking down a dark street here in Nashville and she noticed a man walking close to her. She said that she walked faster and HE walked faster. She walked even faster and HE walked even faster. As the distance between them lessened, she was practically RUNNING but HE was almost running too. She said that if he hadn't ducked into a little bar that she probably would have been able to catch him.

Loved this fashion show. You’re going to get tons of compliments in Hawaii. You might want to consider buying sunscreen in Hawaii, made for both protecting the skin and preserving the reefs. On the mainland, they say that’s ridiculous but in Hawaii it’s the law.
Yes, I always use reef safe sunscreen when swimming in the ocean. 😊
Great choices. Oahu’s north shore is famous for its shrimp trucks. Giovanni’s is a fave. We also enjoyed the Polynesian Culture Center. I’m American so Pearl Harbor was a must see. It moved us to tears.
The film we watched before heading over to the Arizona memorial was so moving!

Looks and sounds like a wonderful trip. I was awake for like 36 hours I just couldn’t sleep. Anyway, a tip. While in flight from your area to Vancouver and to Hawaii, move your feet. Raise your legs a bit and turn your feet around in circles also, tip your feet back n forth ( toes your shins with heels then toes down while heels are up towards ankles or back of leg.) that helps keep the blood moving in your legs. There’s a fantastic International Market to look through but watch the vendors because they like to talk you into any and everything. Lol. Stay safe and have fun. Everyone is cousin over there and the interstate is laughed about because what state does it connect to. 😊❤

I think I found a drugstore face mist for those who want something like Caudalie but want to spend less. Joah makes 2 face mists for cooling for $12.99 each. They both have a slight fragrance but the mist is the finest I've ever seen. I've been using it for the past few days since the heat and humidity have gotten worse, and it's sorefreshing! I got mine at CVS with a coupon so it was even cheaper.

Have a wonderful trip. I was in Oahu in March and my friend and I had a wonderful time. There are fireworks on Friday nights over by the Hawaiian Hilton on the beach. It’s about a 15 minute show and it was fun to watch. Try and fit a luau in too, lots of good food and entertainment.

Lovely selections! I’m going to plan my outfits day by day like this for our Florida trip next month. We have 3 separate events to attend and 5 theme park days and one day off 😂 It’ll be so hot that I can’t wear things twice, except maybe out-to-dinner outfits when it cools down. Like you, I want to look nice, even poolside. It makes me feel good to look put together. Traveling in sneakers saves a lot of room - good thinking!

Oh Cathy! What fun🎉 I lived on Oahu in the ‘70’s! I know that’s been a looong time ago, but it’s still Hawaii!🎉 Most of what I experienced as a teenager was anything goes, anywhere. Swimsuits in the Alamoana mall, swimsuits in restaurants etc! 😮. Not to say that YOU want to do that but don’t worry to much about what you wear. I understand about Pearl Harbor. I love that movie btw. But of course, I’m an American 🇺🇸. Have a grand time and we’ll see you when you all return ❤

went to waikiki a few years ago, it was nice 😊 did diamond head . 14:03 dole pineapple factory the outdoor swap meet pearl hatbor hanama bay and la couple of luaus plus the beach and dukes restaurant where we sipped on their famous mai tais . it was fun. really want to go back

If I were healthy and still traveling, I would be there in a jiffy. So happy you were able to go to that magical place. Did Buddy get mad at you for being gone?
Oh gosh, you are adventurous, I'd be terrified to zipline. I'd probably scream the whole time and forget to break! 😆 Buddy wasn't too sad about me being gone, and thankfully was happy to see me. You never know what type of welcoming it will be. 😊

Yes, the weather was the pits! Some weird late winter rain storm, but we made the best of it. Hawaii is amazing!!

I love your wardrobe! Did you find 8 days were enough in Oahu? We did 10 days and found that was enough. Did it rain every day? It was strangely very rainy there the last week.
We felt that we should have went to another island after five days. We packed a lot into our days. It poured buckets of rain five out of the eight days. There was a late winter storm over the islands so that put a damper on things. The sea was very rough so some of our tours were canceled. Oahu is beautiful but a bit too crowded and busy for me. Next time we want to visit Kauai and the Big Island.
@@StyleWithCathyOver50 oh, sorry to hear about all the rain, that really puts a damper on booked activities. Did you do any shopping? We always seem to spend $700 at the ABC store. We bought a lot of shirts at crazy shirts and I did get a Koa wood necklace from Na Huko for my anniversary. I did find the food salty and my feet blew up on the plane ride home. Waikiki is very busy but there is something about it that I really love. I look forward to your videos on your next trip, will you be posting a video on Waikiki?
I started to vlog and then I gave up as I was in a lot of pain from tearing a ligament in my knee and the rain was relentless. I may still put a recap together using the footage that I did take. I didn't go shopping once!! And we were right next to the nice mall.

I only steam if something is really wrinkled. I usually hang my tops to dry.

I do enjoy your video's, but the majority of the public out here , cannot afford to go shopping. We are just trying to buy food right now. It seem's you are only targeting people who are wealthy or well to do..... I'am debt -free , thank goodness. Alot of people are just getting by !!
