    Excellent video, Mike. Thank you! It's extremely helpful. I'd heard there may be some way of plugging in an image file to act as a constraint map. True? If so, it'd be awesome to see a tutorial for doing that.

    You may have done this before, but I couldn't find a video on it. Could you show how to set up texture sets that are double sided, i.e. the normals render the image on both sides? I know it is primarily used for things like foliage and other cards. - Either way, thank you kindly. Your content is quite well made and helpful.

    • @MHTutorials3D
      @MHTutorials3D  5 лет назад

      What do you mean by double sided textures ? An object can is double sided, a texture never is

    • @grodkowski
      @grodkowski 5 лет назад

      @@MHTutorials3D I suppose a bit of clarification is in order, lets say I am texturing an asset to be used in Unity or Sketchfab. And this asset, is going to be some sort of plant. So it will be using cards with a branch or leaf texture. In Maya, when setting this up. I would be referencing the texture through a file. And the texture will appear on one side of the normals. But will only show up as a black outline on the other side. (so my typical solution would be duplicate the card, offset it down slightly, and reverse normals) But sites like sketchfab can read the 1 sided normal and will display its texture on both sides. Whilst Unity and maya will not. - Is there a way that you are familiar with, in which you could render the image on both sides of a plane in maya?

    These are great tutorials, but I'm having trouble with my nCloth. The effect I'm going for is a woman running with very thin, shear fabric draping her body and flowing behind her. But no matter the settings or presets in nCloth, it seems to have the appearance of paper and not conforming to her body. Any thoughts on settings for super think flowy fabric?
