    I'm just learning about this process for the first time. I'm getting a new car and was amazed at the price of PPF. Then, I watched this video and now understand that you're basically doing the equivalent of putting a phone screen protection cover on an entire car. Yea, I will no longer complain about the price.

    Hello, I am from Texas. I own a detailing business and have been looking to learn about ppf installation. Thank you very much for this video as it has broadened my knowledge of this service without having to go to an expensive training. Thank you.

    How long do you expect this PPF install to last? did you cut out the holes the the parking sensors out of the front badge(do you apply adhesive to the PPF or to the paint to stick the badge bak on)?

    • @ben.detailer
      @ben.detailer  25 дней назад

      The ppl comes with a 10 year warranty but, with proper care it will last as long as you own it. As for the sensors, I plotted the holes out when printing off the pattern.
      The badges I buy brand new so they come with adhesive!

    Is there any particular reason ppf is precut and not cut on the car like vinyl wrap is. Wanted to ppf my bumper myself but dont have a cutter. Thanks

    • @ben.detailer
      @ben.detailer  6 месяцев назад +1

      Yes it is because cutting it on the car involves a lot of risk with a knife being that close to paintwork

    Getting bubbles on the hood. Had a few fingers forming around where the front wheels are near the fenders and had to do some trimming. What could be causing the bubbles?

    • @ben.detailer
      @ben.detailer  25 дней назад

      The bubbles are most likely due to a poor install of the PPF sadly

    Is that it.....Why are people telling it will cost £3,000 to do my car when I know the materials are less than £200.

    • @ben.detailer
      @ben.detailer  Год назад +1

      Much harder than it looks in all honesty! Decent material should be around 700-1500 so be careful what you put on yours

      You’d have to do a bulk installation

    • @williamnunez5142

      Just cut off a big rectangle from the roll and cut off any excess as you go. Just need to be careful to not scratch your paint.

      You can use knifeless tape but give it a day after installing before you start to pull the knifeless tape. It’ll lift the PPF if it’s too soon
