As a kid watching monstervision I didn't appreciate Joe's humorous commentary I just wanted to get to the movie. Delighted that this was saved and uploaded, as I can now appreciate it. I miss simpler times
I was the same way, I remember shaking my leg and yapping at the TV to hurry up and get on with the movie. Now as an adult, I like the sarcastic humor and trivia. Would have been fun to watch with some beers like Joe Bob was indulging with.
There isn't much about the 90's I get nostalgic over, but I do miss Monstervision. It was rare that they showed a good movie like Halloween II though. I actually wrote Joe Bob a letter saying I loved the show but they needed to class up their selection. He wrote back basically saying he agreed but there wasn't much he could do, it was up to TNT. Ah well, nice of him to reply! Hope he is doing well wherever he is.
Thank you so much for posting this! I taped this episode when I was 13 but lost the tape. Been searching for this particular episode for years! Glad someone still remembers Joe Bob!
I think of this all the time, always enjoy MonsterVision with Joe Bob Briggs! Always looked forward to watching a Friday nite (then became Saturday nite movie I think).. oh how I miss the 90’s ❤️
"The TNT censors don't like cuss words that can be used as verbs. Which means you can never show a good Jack Nicholson or Jack Warden movie on TV, because they are the experts at the art of transitive verb declarative sentences, if you know what I mean and I think you do." Couldn't be more true. Just watch that scene in Stanley Kubrick's The Shining where Jack Torrence (played by Nicholson) starts losing it when his wife interrupts him while he's trying to work after they've started settling in at the hotel.
Last year I watch the last dance in with Joe bob Briggs and it is awesome and I Love him and Darcy the mail girl and I Love them and it is awesome and amazing and funny and I love them and it is awesome ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I don't believe that for a second. Halloween 2 is amazing but generally fans of the series know that and it never got to where it was cool to dislike it. Halloween 3 gets pooped on a bunch more even though it's just as good. I'd say even Nightmare on Elm Street 5 is one of those movies that's cool to say sucks when it took some amazing creative and tonal risks.
I finally came around to it in my 30s. I was only about Michael Myers but I eventually gave it a shot and realized it wasn’t half bad as a stand alone movie.
I just noticed that Joe Bob's bolo tie is shaped like a little Devil Head, and it looks like the horns keep poking him in the chin. I miss good ol' Joe Bob.
With Halloween 3 they wanted to do an American Horror Story type thing. Different story every time. The problem is they should have done it with Halloween 2. By waiting until 3, people now expect Michael in every movie.
I really enjoy Halloween III, and don't understand the hate. Also, Michael is in Halloween III, on TV twice! But I do like Halloween 4, so I'm glad they brought Myers back. After 4, they keep getting worse, other than H20, which is pretty good. They never got the mask right though, other than 1 and 2.
i liked 3 also, but not until about 30 years after it came out. Didn't like it when i was a kid because Myers wasn't in it. But i watched it a few years ago and its really a well done movie. Tom Atkins was excellent as always. plus Season of the Witch is probably the coolest subtitle ever
“Halloween III is the WORST” REALLY JOE BOB?!? You gonna say that when Part 5 happened?? Oh man I bet you chewed your words when Resurrection killed off Jamie Lee in a pathetic manner and had Michael beaten up by a cussing kung fu rapper. “Where did we stray from John carpenter greatness?”
ctuna84 that poor kid was Ben Tramer, Laurie Strode's love interest from the first movie. He was out drinking that night with his buddies, as mentioned in both films
JeremyAaliyah is so cute ☺️. Aaliyah Storm and Jeremy Gilbert’s scenes in teen wolf season 4 episodes 1-7 and the vampire diaries season 6 episodes 1-10 and agents of shield season 2 episodes 1-9 and shameless season 4 episodes 1-6 and supernatural season 12 episodes 1-8 starring Aaliyah Payne as Aaliyah Storm and Steven r McQueen as Jeremy Gilbert 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳😏😍😍😏😍😏😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍🥸😍😍🥸😎🥰😎😎😎🥰😎🥰😎🥰😎🥰😎🥰😎🥰😎🥰😎😎😎
12:30 What's all this 'web-site' business? Web? Site? Is that that 'phone / computer' thing I heard about? Pehh, that gimp shit'll NEVER catch on! .....I'm gonna write JBB a *real* letter, on WOOD PULP! >:/
Halloween 3+4-5+6+7+9-10 1982-1988-1989-1995-1998-2001- 2007-2009 my favorite Halloween movies john's Halloween movies and rob zombie's Halloween movies !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Season of the witch is Abomination Rob's are trash.. Steroid Myers... Curse is garbage.. Myers the father of Jamie's baby.. t.f.???? Halloween I, Halloween II, (Halloween 4), H20.
Wow, i didnt know Billy West did Zapp Brannigan. What a versatile voice actor. I remember him on the Stern show when he got into that awkward confrontation with the animator of Ren and Stimpy. Apparently Billy West isn't exactly the kind of person you would want to partake in a business venture with.
Eh, considering Billy has maintained a steady working career over multiple decades in a very competitive and small industry (where a rep for being unprofessional will sink your career fast) and John K basically set himself on fire by being an impossible to work with perfectionist and general misanthrope, I really don't blame Billy for that whole mess. It comes down to personal ethics, but John didn't sound like a guy that inspired a whole lot of loyalty based on personality alone. Also, yeah, Zapp was originally going to be Phil Hartman before his tragic murder, so his friend Billy West stepped in and turned Zapp into a sort of living tribute to Hartman's performance.

I'm glad Joe Bob likes Halloween II, Its one of my personal favorites and a critically underrated masterpiece.
Terribly underrated!
It’s doesn’t live up to the original so that’s the problem
as carpenter said: its terrible.
Joe bob is a really inspiring person. I miss this show

Thata so cool if he actually wrote back
The Last Drive In on Shudder! a 23 or so hour marathon with i think 13 movies. Coming back on Thanksgiving for Dinners of Death, also on Shudder.
He showed lots of good movies Alien, Gremlins, Lost Boys, Alien 3, Christine, Childs Play just to name a few
They showed tons of good movies what are you talking about?
God I miss this show. Good times!!!
maskedman1980 these were the fucking days!!!
hes back
I would love this with the commercials
The good old days. They don't make them like this anymore. This was the best late night weekend viewing experience.
Thank you so much for posting this! I taped this episode when I was 13 but lost the tape. Been searching for this particular episode for years! Glad someone still remembers Joe Bob!
You're getting older🤔🧐🥳😬😯🔥😈🔥😈🔥😈😜👻
I think of this all the time, always enjoy MonsterVision with Joe Bob Briggs! Always looked forward to watching a Friday nite (then became Saturday nite movie I think).. oh how I miss the 90’s ❤️

I love how the crew laughs.
“Roll the footage”never happens when he says so 😂
The TV Version H2 was the most backwards ass crazily edited nonsensical version I have ever seen of any tv movie, and I love it!
Ya its fun to watch lol
If I ever met Joe Bob I would ask him which network did he love to work on the most "The Movie Channel" or "TNT".
Last year I watch the last dance in with Joe bob Briggs and it is awesome and I Love him and Darcy the mail girl and I Love them and it is awesome and amazing and funny and I love them and it is awesome ❤❤❤❤❤❤
well I'm a few months late but it will be here again before you know it . and I'm watching this next year after Halloween .
Cracked up laughing at Joe Bob's take on the director. "Pre-Von Sternberg modes of expressionism," uh huh.
Damn their brains out. 😂
Only Hugh can prevent florist friars.
Haha. That is one of the most clever puns i've heard in a while.
From opening with Mr. Sandman to Loomis killing himself & Michael, this indeed is the most underrated horror film ever.

byron herrera Will do, man
Joe Bob hated Halloween 3? Damn. I loved that movie.
I finally came around to it in my 30s. I was only about Michael Myers but I eventually gave it a shot and realized it wasn’t half bad as a stand alone movie.
"everything you say is either hell or hell damn" hahahahaah frickin censors
RIP Ben Tramer
Censors cut everything. I used to watch it just for him. I don't do censored films.
He keeps saying Leo Rossi's character name is Brad, but it's Bud. No one on set could correct him, haha. Still love the show.
I just noticed that Joe Bob's bolo tie is shaped like a little Devil Head, and it looks like the horns keep poking him in the chin.
I miss good ol' Joe Bob.
"All our contenstants are fat." Joe Bob you make me laugh
"damn their brains out" LMAOOOOOOOO
Karen was a virgin till Bud came to work at the hospital. Bud wanted to sell hot tubs on the side

Halloween 2 is a masterclass in vibes
This is Norm Macdonald
You should add time stamps so we can watch the movie and cut back to Joe Bob when time.
“Halloween III is the WORST”
REALLY JOE BOB?!? You gonna say that when Part 5 happened?? Oh man I bet you chewed your words when Resurrection killed off Jamie Lee in a pathetic manner and had Michael beaten up by a cussing kung fu rapper. “Where did we stray from John carpenter greatness?”
He reviewed Resurrection when it came out. No surprise, he gave it zero stars!
Cinemassacre's James Rolfe bring me to this since 12 years ago but how I wish I watched at least one espisode
Poor kid burn to a crispy critter all he wanted to do was cross the street and eat is candy ,if not for that mask he would have made,
ctuna84 that poor kid was Ben Tramer, Laurie Strode's love interest from the first movie. He was out drinking that night with his buddies, as mentioned in both films
They really liked advertising their website, didn't they?
2022 update: The monstervision link no longer works. :(
Damn
Halloween the 13th on Elm Street meets Abbot and Costello. Lol
This is when tv was great.
I was watching H2 the other day, on cable, and I was very disappointed that the nurse doesn't say "hell, or hell, or damn" they jsut bleeped her out.
what about two shotout eyes?
“If you’re fat, you must die.” Damn me that’s funny 😂
Fun fact: The cop who ran over the fake Michael Myers is the same actor who actually played Michael Myers in this movie which was Dick Warlock

Pehh,
that gimp shit'll NEVER catch on! .....I'm gonna write JBB a *real* letter, on WOOD PULP! >:/
Very funny at the end. Probably Job Bob's worst joke ever.
Wait! Do you mean the same Christopher Guest who did the voice of SpongeBob's cousin Stanley,
in that episode of Nickelodeon's SpongeBob SquarePants?
I like Halloween 3. :)
+Joe Gorser 3 is good. They had the balls to try something different.
Joe Gorser hell ya 3 was great
While not one of my favorites, I do like Halloween III. It had a creepy story and atmosphere to it.
I'm sorry?
I love Halloween 3.
Halloween 🎃
Do you have any full episodes
such a shame he didn't get to do psycho 2
I knew this looked familiar
like Halloween 3
Halloween 3+4-5+6+7+9-10 1982-1988-1989-1995-1998-2001- 2007-2009 my favorite Halloween movies john's Halloween movies and rob zombie's Halloween movies !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Season of the witch is Abomination
Rob's are trash.. Steroid Myers...
Curse is garbage.. Myers the father of Jamie's baby.. t.f.????
Halloween I, Halloween II, (Halloween 4), H20.
Is not garbage 🗑. Is good 👍
Halloween II and Incredibles 2 are sequels that start exactly where the first movie ends.
"Halloween 3 is the worst one", I love you Joe Bob!! The ultimate anti-hipster.
"Halloween Ends" would like a word...
@@haroldelrod8515 or Halloween 5 or Halloween Ressurrection, or Halloween Kills. The list goes on with exceptions of 4 and kinda 2018.
Is that Billy West voicing the TNT bumpers?
I'm 50/50. In a lot of ways it doesn't sound like him, but some of the pronunciation sounds a lot like a heavily filtered Zapp Brannigan.
Wow, i didnt know Billy West did Zapp Brannigan. What a versatile voice actor. I remember him on the Stern show when he got into that awkward confrontation with the animator of Ren and Stimpy.
