As a teacher that award is twisted; it flies in the face of modern educational values, besides being too broad. The Olympics doesn't have a best athlete award - if it does it's the gold count, but this will not stand up to deconstruction of the skills involved in performance. Specifics, comparisons and projections are the effective assessment methods of the 21st century, not spelling prizes and hearsay. Happy for her all the same - hopefully the silly spotlight will bring her solid financial gain, because Ms May ain't gonna be keeping her salary in line with her efforts or inflation, however she will paw this fine lady's success with her ideologically soiled mitts for her own glorification.

World's Best Teacher? That's debatable. I once taught a dog to flush a toilet... he still shits outside but he can flush a toilet. That's no small feat. So where's my award and recognition?
