Really like the additional view. It’s a great mix of the up river journey looking over your right shoulder. For the close in stuff really liked the overhead view. Keep it up, great videos! Well edited, put together and I learn a ton. Happy Father’s Day!
#14 From Brighton, Michigan. Well Done Capt. , I was watching all the harbor craft as you passed them. Scows, barges, work boats, tugs, drydock with ferry inside, and the tanker. No room for my R/V there. Thanks!
Thank ya sir! I’ll do better with the camera. It is busy busy up here pretty much all the time. I’m sure we could find room for your RV tho! Thanks for watching! 🫡
Another excellent video. Love the new camera angle being able to see both your magic hands and everything in front of you when manoeuvring. Coupled with the lower camera for covering distance really adds to the experience of riding along with you. Really like your longer videos to…keep ‘‘em coming Captain. 2 dedicated viewers from 41° 12' 46.656" S 146° 19' 26.436" E.

Love that you’re using more views. I would suggest using a screen capture program on the chart computer so you can show the chart as you’re underway. I think that would be interesting to see. I would also think that an Insta360 camera mounted to the railing in front of the bridge would allow you to choose interesting angles to show the lines and scenery and what your boat is doing. I’m loving that you’re growing in creating this content and I love your passion for tugging. Great job Cap
Espresso is all in the grinder. Although a really good machine doesn't hurt either! I've got a sweet La Mazocco that pulls killer shots! I think I like the second camera angle the best. It's nice being able to see the sights.
Hey now!! I made a pretty good cup this morning! I’m definitely going to get a hand grinder though. Our machine on here is pretty decent. Thanks for watching 🤙
New to the channel - great video! Thanks for the description early in the video of where you are located and the description of your move. A suggestion to help new viewers, I would add a short paragraph, under the description, explaining your location, your company crew onboard, and a little about yourself. Take care and be safe...
Different view, but I personally like being on the level with you so we can see more. Also was wondering about what you think about wearing lapel mic so we can hear better. Only suggestions. Love your videos! Happy Father's Day
Hi,can you insert the chartplotter view so we see the locations . If the new camera local could be a smidgen lower ,we would see more of the ahead view please 😊
I loved watching this. Love the new camera view. Both cams look amazing. I’m trying to figure out your boat controls. It appears that the wheel/throttle at your left hand rotates and controls a nacelle/thruster at the stern of your boat and the one at your right hand controls a similar nacelle/thruster at your bow. Very cool setup! And your pilot house has stunning views. Thanks for what you do!
@@tugboatwilly843Thanks for response! So it’s both rutter and throttle controls? Or does your tug have those lower units that mount under. Hope my question makes sense.
Another great video! The skill in handling those huge ships is amazing. Just curious - Do the pilots that you place on the ships work for your tug company or do the work for some Harbor Agency? I know where I live, the pilots work for the River and Bay Authority which is multi-state quasi governmental. I was just wondering because the Pilot was also running the tug and I didn't know if they work for McAllister and had to do both jobs. Great stuff, thanks for showing us your world.
Hey Capt. Willy. Happy Fathers day to you. I have a good question. Have you ever been on the big container ship's? Like in the rooms where the crew sleeps and the Capt of that ship steers the ship? If not maybe that would be another great idea for a video. But another great video
Great vid !! Really like the different camera angles ! ...also, a question about weather, do you ever reschedule for bad weather or just get on in there and ride it thru ? Thanks
Hey now! Thank you! Something we do have to reschedule. They will shut the harbor down if it’s really windy or foggy or a white out. Thanks for watching 🤙
Curious…why do you have to follow the ship so long? Also what is the monitor above your ear to the right. It shows like 46.3 and fluctuates up and down. I’ve really been enjoying your content
Another good one Willy! One thing, great view but lower the camera just a tad because that crossmember with the picture and wiper motor mounted on it interferes with the forward view. 👍 BTW, who's that a pic of?
Much appreciated sir! That’s the late owner of the company Capt Brian McAllister. He passed away a little while ago so we all decided to keep his pic up there. He was a great man!
😂🤣😂 I don’t mean to kick you in the balls! I promise I’ll make longer ones. I just do it towards the end of the hitch cause they take so long to upload. Thanks for watching as always!!
@@tugboatwilly843 Nice! We have the same thing. We get 4 hours minimum notice but we all live local and go home every night. There are accommodations on board if we want to stay or if we hit our hours of rest. Our farthest port we service is 6 hours away so its a 12 hour round trip and then add the assist on top of that, makes for a long day.
Happy Father's Day Captain. Really like the new angle from behind so we can see both your hands and everything out the front. Thank you
Thank you! I’m working on bringing more angles. Much appreciated for real 🤙
This was really good, we can see how you work the controls and at the same time see in which direction the ship travels. Very interesting. Thank you.
My pleasure! Thank you!
I really like this view!!! Can see both hands working the pods!
In the beginning that is!

Can you set both throttles to be controlled as one? Would you ever need that?
You can put it on auto pilot but you can’t set them to turn as one. Thanks for watching!

Do you command the same vessel all the time?
Yes we are on here all the time. Now if you work extra you could be on another boat. Just depends on who you are working for or where they need you
If you could drop the camera by a foot or two that would be the absolute perfect filming angle. Otherwise this is great!!!
