Years back when we were in Kerala, we cook by wood .We cover the outer side of vessels with ash before cooking for easy washing. I just remember those beautiful days.

The night sounds and the view of the moon has dealt a physical ache to my soul and i miss Kalimpong and Darjeeling and it takes me back to my childhood big time. I can almost smell the hot nights from here.
I was surprised that your childhood was spent in Darjeeling Kalimgpong. Where is your real home?
I was born in Darjeeling, then parents moved to Kalimpong where my mum is from. I moved to the United Kingdom in 2002 and been here since. I did go back every few years to Kalimpong to see my parents but since my dad died in 2021 mum moved to UK to be with us and we havent gone back since, though saying that we are planning to visit Kalimpong in November this year for a few days. Fingers crossed.
Thank you very much for telling me about your past days. It was very sad. What can we do and such is the way of the world. My parents also passed away.If you come to Kalingpung in November, you are also welcome at our home...... Finally, thank you very much from the bottom of my heart for always loving us❤🙏
@@WowVillageLife thats very sad about your parents too, they must have died pretty young as you are also young and got a younger sister too. Its sad when our loved ones leave us.

Absolutely delicious. Brinjal ( eggplants) is one of my most favorite vegetables. All your dishes look delicious. I love how you prayed before eating; and using your fingers to eat. My grandmother used to say “ food tastes better, when eaten using your fingers”. 🤤😋🙏🏽
