Too many people can't take responsibility for their own actions and mistakes these days. It's always someone else's fault, no matter what herculean leap in logic they have to make.
He is essentially another Eddie Brock from Spiderman 3. He frames the main character, gets fired when he's found out, and then rather than accept responsibility, pins the blame on the protagonist and attempts revenge.
Knew it was gonna be that asshole before the episode aired. He had the balls to ask for her help, after trying to frame her for something he did. Shouldn’t have messed with Hondo’s wife.

This script must have went through peer review, sensitivity evaluations, factual information regarding HNT strategies and proper etiquette for a home invasion involving a spouse in a hostage situation. Seriously, nobody in this scene is invested and everybody even the wife is cool as a cucumber as they spoke lines and lines of dialogue explaining motivations and emotions. Excellent dictation ending in a ideal resolution that would not offend anybody.
Bruce thrashed the community center where Nichelle helps the South LA community. She put cameras around the center in case of another break-in. That came in handy this time around but Nichelle decided not to tell Hondo about the break-in. My guess is Bruce thrashed Hondo's home looking for that video/in retaliation of Nichelle not helping him out after the fact
