I get flowers for myself “just because” every week. No matter what I purchase or harvest I’ve found that trimming 1/4 inch off the bottom of the steams every other day allows the flowers to get a fresh drink and they last longer.

Just got back our internet from the tornado last night so just now catching up on YT. You are hired to do flowers arrangements, it is so lovely, dainty and so appropriate for the occasion. This was so nice to watch today for what has happen here. Stay Safe till the next time

We will have to replace window screens and glass and get a new roof, flowers and trees, but my husband and I faired a lot better then some here did. Our electric went off about 8 p.m. on Fri.night and was off till late Sat. morning, do to so much rain, hail and lighting and pole damage. Was not ready for this one at all, but will be the next time. Thank You again

Use a knife to trim stems - scissors will crush the cells in the stem and will shorten the life of the bloom. When you cut the stem with a knife, do it diagonally to ensure that the bloom gets maximum water. A good way to refresh an arrangement is to trim the stems again and change the water. You can use sugar instead of floral food, it serves the same purpose.

Try cold glue made for flowers..oasis is a good brand. Alum is a good dip for hydrangea to keep it drinking.
