Watched the whole game, and as a lifelong O’s fan, this pitchers’ duel felt good. Sure, we had offensive opportunities, but this roster just never quits. I’m starting to have a little more faith in the pitching staff right now. Also, whoever lost this game has nothing to be ashamed about because: 0-runs allowed = a 100% win reatio. 1-run allowed = a 90% win reatio. 2-runs allowed = an 80% win reatio. 3-runs allowed = a 70% win reatio. After that, it becomes more and more difficult to win games. Because the pitchers and the defensive players at the MLB level are the best in the world. Therefore, any organization that builds a team that focuses on just outscoring teams are not going to have long-term success. Again, a great pitching and defensive game. And that's the formula for long-term success.
