Btw it's impressive how you nailed Susie. Her personality is 100% consistent with Chapter 2.
Well uh... It kinda makes sense if you played chapter 1, too. Like, when you seal the fountain and wander around light world, you could see the same pattern of Susie being more friendly to Kris and overall progression comparing to their first meeting in the chapter. This video was released two years ago, after all.
By the way, this was made before chapter 2.
It’s really amazing how accurate this is to chapter 2 characterization despite how it was made before Chapter 2 came out. Berdly even seems more in line with his post-character development self also.

After playing Chapter 2, its a lil weird seeing Monster kid go from Kris's friend to a bully that Kris hates! The way Kris gives them candy they wouldn't like and then slams the door in their face, that's classroom drama I want more of!

I think the whole point of calling Kris a them is because Toby is a type of game dev to not like limiting the player after all Undertale is a game about choice while this one is (seems to be) about freedom so you have a choice or freedom to call him/her/them whatever you want

Really love how this shows aspects if Toriel’s character that was a lot more subtle in Deltarune proper, that Toriel is somewhat neglectful emotionally, completely willing to provide what Kris needs, but also not providing upkeep to some of Kris’ possessions. So it just makes sense that she’d ask her problem-ridden child to stay in for the night.
Also the Sans bit got me the most, and Susie was just so good. I’m surprised I didn’t see this in time for Halloween but I’m so glad I got to see this at all!

In this game, to me, Toriel just seems a bit overly-religious and strict. Now, a parent who is a bit strict is fine- my mom was a bit strict with me as a kid- but I’m talking overdoing it to where she doesn’t think she’s ever in the wrong, something my folks find hard to admit but they still do. She and Asgore are also still separated in this universe and she seems even more hateful of him, even though he seems even more gentle than the last game and wouldn’t hurt anyone if he could avoid it. Someone theorized it was because of how he runs his flower shop, because he couldn’t bear to make people pay money, but if she divorced him because of THAT instead of actually being a good spouse and directly helping him get over this problem, then that would make it even more unreasonable than what happened in Undertale.
That’s just what I got, though. Whatever it was happened years before the game, so we probably won’t find out until Asriel appears.

Have you seen the “Susie makes friends” series? It is also a great animation series, I love it! It could almost seem canon too! I suggest watching it if you want more good Deltarune content like this
