Our Tribe of Many also has 11 children. The put their fruit in the center of the kitchen table. The centerpiece looks like a long narrow trough.

I'm a mom of 15, six still at home. 17 grandkids. I don't do less, I put lots of furniture against the walls, it protects my walls. I do not match the woods in my house. If I liked it, it goes. I think I have a pretty home. You're doing great!

I love decorating. I just find pieces I love and use them. My things have to be mainly functional. I refuse to worry if others like it or not. I like it and it works for us and that's all that matters.
Remove the small table under the small shelf and h ang it under the shelf. Will add color and be more accessable. Love u and your family. Blessings

It would seem to be better used in the pantry! It would free up space for other things!
Since the trash can is on the floor, I don't think the fruit basket on the wall above it would be 'in the way' or get run into, etc. I think that is a great spot for it. I would switch the top and bottom baskets to make it easier to reach into the top basket for an onion!
It would do well in the pantry u could even put potatoes and onion in it if you get a different basket for the fruit.
I like the TV and shelves on the side of it. I think if you painted all 3 pieces of furniture the same color it would be even better. It would all blend together. Just a thought.The fruit basket is still not perfect. It’s high like you said. But then again it does look better there then where it was . How do the kids get a piece of fruit? I am always changing around stuff. It is kind of fun for me and sooner or later it is perfect. You are doing a good job ! 👍👍☮️☮️

First you are my favorite RUclips family. I don't want to hurt your feelings but having lived in mobile homes myself I tell you less is best. They can look cluttered fast. ❤
Ps you use wire cutters and cut a piece out for the light switch and move it down.

I think you should have everyone use the back door. That way the shoes and dirt will be out of the livingroom. Plus it will save your carpet.
If you keep the dresser in the living room you could paint it one of your accent colors to blend in with the rest of the room. I took a decorating class years ago and learned we should have three to four colors throughout the home to create harmony instead of a lot of mix matched colors everywhere. It’s all looking so nice!❤

I love the shelves! They look so good! When we moved, some of our spaces also got smaller and I had to find ways to make space so I could put up all of my decor too! Shelves on walls and in corners really helped! Love it!

Your place must be huge!!! I lived In a single wide once and it was very big too. 3 bedrooms 2 baths. My mom lived in a double wide brand new 2 bedrooms 2 bathrooms and that was huge. It had two living rooms etc….. some mobile homes are really beautiful. Do you cover the price you paid in any of your videos?

I like where you moved the fruit holder. It fits perfectly. I don't know how much room you have behind your couch beside the front door, but maybe a couple of boot trays (they're inexpensive) for the shoes for a temporary fix? They wouldn't be in your walking area.
I'd put bulk of fruit in pantry then a small basket on center of table refilled as needed.
My front DW door swings the other way. You will like it much better.

They are nice shelves but I think a wall unit would have been better with lower doors so you could hide the shoes. The shelves will collect more clutter.
You’re probably right. I like the dresser so I wanted to still utilize it. But a shelf unit would prob work better. For now this will do. ❤️
I also like the idea to paint it all it will help soften the room and make it feel more balanced, that’s just an opinion you do great. It’s not to mock how you decorate. I think you do a beautiful job just to let you know when decorating rubber shell lining paper and I will cut a small strip and place it underneath my frame, it is leaned up against the wall, so it won’t slide then you can place it so it’s more upright if you get a stand or that round picture, it will force it to lay back and I don’t think you’ll be happy with that but good luck to you sweetie. I think the pantry is a great idea, If they love fruit, you might have to remind them to go to the pantry for fruit. I think it is really cute, what about putting it where you hung that shelf and put the shelf where you initually wanted it, above the coffee area.
Ikea has tall, thin, white enclosed shoe racks that my work by either side of the door. People use them in their tiny homes for shoes.
I think the pantry would be great for the fruit basket...put it low so the littles can reach the top....😁

When you get ur porch/boot area built, you won’t need to use the front door as much. So less traffic in your front door area.

Have you thought about hanging the fruit baskets on the right side of the window and put your small shelves you just hung up on the left side? That way the fruit baskets aren't impeding any cabinets or walkway.
When we come in our doublewide, we take off our shoes and put them in our rooms because there is not a lot of room by our front door. My husbands flipflops are the only shoes left by the front door.

I have an idea for the fruit basket. Hang it on the wall going into the Laundry room. It looks good there but just an idea. I think everything is looking good. 😊

Try switching the coffee pot & fruit basket, it won’t stand out as much visually.

I liked the fruit basket there; reminds me of my grandma's house who always had fruit and potatoes in a wire basket on a desk in the kitchen. But you need to put it where you want it!
New here .I have been looking at 5 bedrooms 3 bath homes. Is yours set up with 4 bedrooms at one end and the master at the other end.. That would give separation and privacy. Is yours like that?
What about putting it caddy corner on the round table where you hung the shelf and then you can hang the shelf by your coffee pot where u said u originally wanted to. It might work and the kids can reach it. just a suggestion.

Maybe put under those little white shelves in the wall opposite from where it is now? From my understanding living in Florida letting fruit set out bring gnats. Maybe that not true. Idk, that what I heard from another tuner that keeps her things in the fridge.
It can if it goes bad. We go through it fast enough that we usually don’t have that problem. Fridge space is limited so we choose to keep apples, oranges and bananas out to save space in the fridge

yaay so glad you took on board my suggestion of flipping the front door around. it will work so much better with traffic flow and loungeroom space. if the fruit basket comes apart i would use them horizontally and get a tall shelving unit/slim china hutch where it used to be. and display the fruit and all your white china on it. leaving the display above your fridge. it will look more intentional and less visually cluttered to where your eyes travel when you scan the room.
How about taking the hardware off the dresser between the shelves and painting it black? Would update! Enjoy your videos!
Maybe! I keep thinking about painting the dresser but then I like it the way that it is too… lol and this is the conversation I have over and over again 😂😜 but the hardware would be super easy. That’s a good idea!

Ok, this may sound like a stupid suggestion but why don’t you hang the fruit basket on the side of your island underneath the counter top? Did I explain that right? If you are standing in your living room looking into your kitchen, hang the fruit basket on the right hand side of the island underneath the countertop facing your kitchen table. It would be out of the way and your babies can reach it easily. Thanks for another video and God bless you and your precious family.

Maybe hang fruit baskets in the pantry?
You could try hanging the fruit basket on the side of the cabinet that it's next to or at the end of the island. Or you could get a big tiered wire basket tray to put the fruit in and put it in the middle of your island. It's so hard to describe things in comments.

Jessica, just a suggestion why cant you put that fruit basket, above your while garbage tub, or could you move your white shelf, above the cabinet cuz its the same color and you can decorate it too..

We keep all of are fruit in the fridge except potatoes, onions, and fruit that needs to be ripen.
You’re doing a good job….it only matters what you and your family like. I have a 3 tiered fruit stand from Sams Club. I like it to be accessible too.

I think the shelves are beautiful, but the center table is off-putting in that space. Maybe paint the dresser or strip and stain lighter?
