Let's put it another way. Leon fights against endless hordes of zombies and undead abominations in towns populated by thousands, if not millions. Those zombies are fast, agile, they sometime use weapons, they are more vicious than traditionnal zombies. And still, Leon manage to easily fight against those overwhelming odds. On the other end, we have Chris, who fights a few hundred well-trained militia-men turned into mutating freaks. Seriously, I think we get the point here, they both rock.
As an old gamer who remembers when RE1 was the only RE (and remembers when there was no such thing as home game consoles), I will simply say that while I did not enjoy this game as much as the other titles in the series, I did enjoy this moment in particular. Cool to see two series icons meet on camera for once (it's implied they've met before, though). RE6 - not a good horror game, but not a bad action game. It is what it is.
Even though i favor Chris - I can´t deny that this is a pretty even match up. Leon is a badass aswell, been through hell just like Chris, and both are honorable in their own rights - So this would make for quite an epic battle. Personally i like the idea of them working together alot more though :P
Im pretty sure they are equal in skills when it comes to hand to hand combat but Chris' size over Leon would probably give him the edge. Then again, leon proved himself vs bigger oponents like Krauser and actually won so... who Knows.

+glorilol 95 Leon handled Krauser who had superhuman strength and speed at a time limit of 3 mins by himself, he fought and beat Sadler by himself. He destroyed all together 4 the Gigante's from RE4. Chris had help all the time, Chris fought 1 El Gigante in RE5 and needed a turret and Sheva's help, Leon was basically alone throughout RE4 because Ashley was useless, And Leon took hits from the tyrants in Re Damnation, these things are stupid strong. Chris has never gone through all of this, Most of Chris's big threats throughout the years have been Wesker, and Leon fought someone with that same "level" and handled ir better than Chris ever did.

Resident evil 2 remake is coming in 6 months, after that capcom should work on resident evil 8 with Leon and Chris as the main protagonists working together or in different campaigns and they cross paths from time to time, it would be amazing, and hunk would have a campaign too, he's my favourite in the franchise
It needs to be scrapped entirely. And its possible too. Instead of Helena we could get Ashley. Becoming a gaurd for her own father, after being inspired by Leon, making his death more impacful. Remaking CV, 5 and 6 could really bring back a coherent story, horror, survival and more emotional depth, all the while delivering a smooth gaming experience. Imagine: we can link re4 to re5 by fleshing out Chris and Wesker and how they interact and Weskers goals. It's clear from the end of re4 that wesker is planning on making the oroboeus or whatever by collecting different diseases.
I know Leon is the most popular but Chris was the superior fighter in that fight. Just watch it carefully and give them a point for each attack landed and dodge. Its ok if your favorite character isn't the most badass.

Much like Jill in RE 3, most of the game he dealt with solo, albeit with the indirect assistance of the Merchant and the occasional save by Ada. The only time he in canon got even remotely close to screwed(not counting the beginning segment where the bell was rung. He would have been fucked there too, but so would Chris.) is in his Wesker knife fight, where he showed absolutely incredible agility against a massively superior opponent. Wesker is far faster and stronger than both Chris and Leon. Notice Leon didn't try to engage Wesker in hand to hand, accordingly.
+Robert Ross Yeah, people always seem to forget that Leon is usually at a handicap in all his adventures but still manages to kick ass. Chris is slightly older, has significantly more training (military etc) and is part of an elite team that nearly got wiped out on on the way to and inside a mansion. Meanwhile, Leon (a rookie cop for the RPD, not even STARS) had to survive an entire city of undead, with two civilians to take care of all while battling Birkin (who was by far more powerful than Tyrant because of the unstable G-Virus). By the time Leon gets to become a bad ass with government training in RE4, he is again at a huge disadvantage; dropped alone in hostile territory to rescue a big tittied sack of potatoes who's only capable of ducking and turning handles, all while being infected. While I'm not saying Chris is a piece of shit (even though he's no where near my list of favorite RE characters) Leon will always deserve my respect because for him, it was sink or swim. Those two extra months Chris has over him in the Arklay mountains are trivial.

For all people who have debated the match that fans have debated since RE 2 was released who would win in a fight Leon or Chris. Sorry but the match would either be a draw or slight slight victory for Chris simply because he's more durable than Leon and he's on steriods so there's roid rage.

Remaking CV, 5 and 6 could really bring back a coherent story, horror, survival and more emotional depth, all the while delivering a smooth gaming experience.
Imagine: we can link re4 to re5 by fleshing out Chris and Wesker and how they interact and Weskers goals.
It's clear from the end of re4 that wesker is planning on making the oroboeus or whatever by collecting different diseases.

I know Leon is the most popular but Chris was the superior fighter in that fight. Just watch it carefully and give them a point for each attack landed and dodge. Its ok if your favorite character isn't the most badass.

I agree, just cuz re4 was one of the best games, doesn't mean Leon is more badass, Chris has survived tougher situations than Leon, he'll imagine Leon without Ada watching his back all the time. Ada alone proves Chris is more badass.
@@penske_material how many times did ada watched his back. He survived in re4 on his own. The only time i saw him getting saved was from the fight with krauser. He also protected ada from simmon in re6. Believe me dude when it comes to hand to hand combat Leon can fuck up anybody in RE franchise right now and that includes Chris too.

Jill still a member of BSAA SOA unit which Chris used to be as well during Revelations and RE 5 , He's currentlly a member of the SOU unit (Which Josh Stone from RE5 is, Basically their the special forces/military unit of BSAA sent into a situation when the BSAA knows their dealing with a BOW threat in large numbers compaired to SOA members being sent in pairs of two or three to avoid detection; SOA/Spy, SOU/Soldier)

No offense, but that makes me want to laugh. He's a baby compared to both of them, who have taken on many, many monsters that would wipe out entire cities on their own given time. Jake is tough, but nothing compared to Wesker, old or new, or Krauser. Blade arm or not. Leon or Chris could turn Jake into fucking hamburger.
***** You could say the same for Wesker, and every other monster they've faced. Look how they wound up. Following that logic, it would take Wesker to kill Sadler, but did it? No. Just a well skilled human. And remember, in RE4 canon, all Leon has throughout the game is a handgun.
***** What? Leon was a lone operator. He even had a handicap in half of his encounters, having to wrangle worthless Ashley. The only time she shows an ounce of guts is when she's alone. Leon WISHES she was half as useful as Sheva, or Helena. Hell, the dynamite ganados are more useful to him than Ashley is.
Point being, Leon took on all of these foes alone or worse. Much like Jill in RE 3, most of the game he dealt with solo, albeit with the indirect assistance of the Merchant and the occasional save by Ada. The only time he in canon got even remotely close to screwed(not counting the beginning segment where the bell was rung. He would have been fucked there too, but so would Chris.) is in his Wesker knife fight, where he showed absolutely incredible agility against a massively superior opponent. Wesker is far faster and stronger than both Chris and Leon. Notice Leon didn't try to engage Wesker in hand to hand, accordingly.
+Robert Ross Yeah, people always seem to forget that Leon is usually at a handicap in all his adventures but still manages to kick ass. Chris is slightly older, has significantly more training (military etc) and is part of an elite team that nearly got wiped out on on the way to and inside a mansion.
Meanwhile, Leon (a rookie cop for the RPD, not even STARS) had to survive an entire city of undead, with two civilians to take care of all while battling Birkin (who was by far more powerful than Tyrant because of the unstable G-Virus).
By the time Leon gets to become a bad ass with government training in RE4, he is again at a huge disadvantage; dropped alone in hostile territory to rescue a big tittied sack of potatoes who's only capable of ducking and turning handles, all while being infected.
While I'm not saying Chris is a piece of shit (even though he's no where near my list of favorite RE characters) Leon will always deserve my respect because for him, it was sink or swim. Those two extra months Chris has over him in the Arklay mountains are trivial.
