Everyone has to remember if this amplifier is rated 8k first of all you have to take the percentage of the efficiency from the wattage? So if the amplifier is 72 percent efficient you are looking at maybe 6k depending on your electrical system and impedance rise? To find out the true power of a good amplifier everything needs to be tested at 12.5 volts Final
@cdbennett2332 There is no amplifier in this world that is 100 percent efficient it even shows you that on the dyno the most power you will get out of any amplifier is dynamic burst and uncertified up to clipping is voltage drop?Bro I'm almost 57 years old I been into car audio since 1992?Dyno and real world music is two different things thats why some amplifiers go into protection at .5ohms?Because it has no impedance rise? And then you take that same amplifier and hook it up in your vehicle at .5ohms and it will rise up to 1 to 1.5 ohms facts in so many words buy you a amplifier twice the power of your subwoofers that way you don't have to worry about it overheating and you will have enough head room before it starts clipping Remember clipping destroys subwoofers?
@@ceciljones1248 yeah but you mentioned tests need to be ran at 12.5. Also all runs are at multiple impedances. So that accounts for rise. Don't write a book to justify bullshit.
@cdbennett2332 Then buy it and see all I know is back in the late 80s and early 90s amplifiers were rated at battery voltage 12.5 OK and anything after that you get a little more power after the voltage goes up to 14.4 which is alternator charging you can get a little more voltage from lithium batteries because they can take 16 volts on a charger vs agm ?Lithium batteries batteries charge faster than agm that's why people start using them final
Hell no it's a full bridge design. Shouldn't be anywhere over $1000 if not is do yourself a favor an grab the taramps smart 8. Sundowns full bridge are hit an miss. Their half bridge designs like the sae the SCV line up an the infamous NS-1 were nasty!!!
@HERTZHEROIN , have a smart 5K Bass in the box still, but looking for more power for 4 12" U's V.1 with D1 recones. Salt amps are way outta my price zone currently.
@@kylebainter8595 so hear me out. Are you a brand sticker. Like does it have to be sundown amp? Id highly recommend the Orion hcca 8k. Realistically it's a damn 15k falsely badged because they make over rated @ 12.8v so just like any amp that does it's rated at the proper 12v range like the salt does. Anything in the 14.8 an up will absolutely get nasty with how much you can clamp. It'll do half ohm all day as long as your box rise is within reason. just use dual inputs on its dual inputs. Ain't no amp rated for 3k doing that half ohm dynamic just a hair over 15v. only other amp I've seen do crazy numbers over rated was surge audio an ruthless amps
@BigBoyOGBassLife54 its tuned with a rta barely a little half ways . It made decent power on the amm1 made close to 2400 watts . But where my gain is set it sounds kinda weak . I'm powering a b2 audio rage xl 12 inch
@@Contact_Info I mean, I can only speak from my experience alone, but I ordered a jp40 lithium bank and got a jp630 supercap instead, called them up that night, got the return slip that night, had it shipped out the morning after, Friday, and I received my jp40 Wednesday, so from nc to Nevada and back to nc in 6 days total counting weekend ain’t too bad, I haven’t had a bad experience, I thought it was quite easy honestly
I'm sorry but your dyno videos are the most worst out there. You only give the 1 ohm test on them. So when trying to figure out for ohm rise the videos are worthless.

whys that? some new batteries charge at 14.4 not to mention people buy alternators that can keep 14.4 at high draws like this.

current draw over 900 beast electrical needed for this beast amp
When are dealers going to be able to place an order?
Old school days this would be a 800w cheater amp . About the same size as a 1k back when 🤣💥
In comparison to the Salt series is this one in the same price bracket?

What device is used to measure watts for dyno testing? Thanks
How come no one can fix these amps once they blow?
Dope!!
I would do what Sundown has been known for. Under rate the system , and watch it over perform!
More info plzzzzzzz💯
Would you guys go with two skar audio rp 4500s or this amp? I already have one skar rp4500 and I’m wondering what I should do
Sundown SIA all day
11kw at 14,8v
Anyone know what a SALT-8 at .5 does?
I got mine to do 14k at 1 ohm 😂
16k
I’m not sure I think you need to send one to me and I’ll let you know. Help me help you 🤔🤔

Salt for sure

Why not just get a smart bass 8?
For 1000$ you can get a jp63 which puts out more power on the dyno, has 3 inputs, and did I say put out more more, it’s a no brainer to go d4s
Only their customer service sucks
Try returning anything there
