Linda, let me say how refreshing it is to rely on your videos appearing every Sunday at the same time, every time. Never late, dependable and always enjoyable. Have been following your channel for years, and love that I can depend on them for constant, fun and imaginative content. Thanks for being you.
Let me say this much I agree with your sentiments. Consistency is key in maintaining viewers . I for one also enjoy the content of these videos . Admittedly I am a bit jealous of such a beautiful home . I often try to aspire to this Colonial style of decor but on a shoe string budget and using thrift or as we say here in the UK Charity shop finds.
As the other lady said it is wonderful to rely on your wonderful videos every Sunday at the same time, I look forward to them all week and have told many of my friends to watch them, years back we rented a large old home while ours was being built, we had decided to go smaller, but I loved that beautiful home more like yours and miss it to this day. so much you can do with larger rooms.
Thank you for watching and sharing the channel! One of the several reasons we moved from the Groton House was even though the house was large, the rooms inside were tiny and we could not have our family fit in one room. Now we can and love it.
Hi Linda , long time ‘lurker’ here, coming out to comment. I always enjoy seeing all you do both inside and outside of your home. I’d be happy just to have your lovely Kitchen & Eating area w/fireplace! It’s such an inviting space. I know I’d be spending most of my day there. . I love how you change it up and how it takes on a different ‘personality’ each time. I always decorated my home for the different holidays, but have found myself losing steam and have not been ‘into’ it as much as I use to - however, watching you, really helps me to ‘get going’ ! Thank you for all your wonderful ideas and inspiration !
Been watching for years, but I have to say that I love the regularly-timed Sunday videos! Perfect for coffee, for vicariously enjoying your creativity and gorgeous home and, yes, for Zen.❤️❤️
Happy Birthday to Ben! My mother used to iron my father's underwear, handkerchiefs etc. When I asked her why, she said it looks better in the drawer! I will Iron but not to that extreme. May I suggest that you might use a chari or chairs to support unwieldy things like table cloths to keep them off the floor while you are ironing them? Thanks again, Linda for another great video
I have watched your videos for several years and love how you decorate with so many natural elements. Your decorating is timeless, not trendy, and I love it.
When you're a creative person, there can be no expectation that you will keep things the first place you put them forever. So much fun to try different stylings of beloved belongings.
Hi Linda, your a hostess for sure,I love your setup and the little details really add a welcoming touch.Happy Birthday Ben🎂Hope your birthday gathering was fun!I still love the clock in the keeping room, but it does add a charm to the tavern and the pheasants look beautiful in the shelves. 🕊💚
Linda, thanks for taking my mind away for awhile watching you in your lovely home. Friday morning our 8 yr old choc lab, Drake, was not himself and sluggish and continued to get worse each hour. Early evening we had some help to carry him to the car and drive a short distance to animal ER where we were told he had a large cancerous growth on his spleen. It had ruptured and he was bleeding internally. Such a shock, he was playing and happy the day before and never had been sick over the years. Dr told us that it was ticking time bomb and could have happened anytime. Not from anything we or Drake had done. I’m glad he didn’t suffer with sickness et. But we are in shock and we miss him terribly. My daughter and her Frenchie, Jax live here too and they were buddies. He knows his friend isn’t around. Wish he and my 5 yr old granddaughter understood more. It’s very hard and I sure wish it wouldn’t have happened. Anyway, happy 60th to the hubs and hope both gatherings will be great. With you as the hostess, I’m sure they will. Take care and give extra hug to Willow and enjoy each day. 🐾💔🙏🇺🇸🦃🍁🦌
Oh, the pheasant art pieces look perfect on the shelves! Gotta try making that apple peel tea! Happy 60th to Ben! I use my watering can for my iron water too, lol. Love all your holiday decor, Linda! So inspired as always!! 🙂
As I was watching you iron the table cloth, I have the same background with mom ironing and teaching me how to iron. I tried an experiment one time by taking a old quilt and putting it on a large table, I used it as a ironing board. It was so much nicer not having any of the cloth touching the floor. Just be careful not to try this on a good or antique table. I have also tried this with cardboard on top of the table to protect the table top. I have always loved your videos. Great job, you are an inspiration to all of us.
Hello Linda and Happy Birthday, Ben! I really feel like a "kindred spirit" when I see the items you have in your home and those you are able to thrift and find at consignment stores! It's so nice to know you're going to be sharing your world on Sunday mornings. I look forward to it all week!
There’s the pheasant feathers coming out,I’ve been waiting to see you use🥰 When I had my retail store,I had a dozen trees to decorate, and my very favorite one,was my Fall Tree, that stayed up,throughout the Christmas season. Thank you for another great video.
Those Thanksgiving tree is truly beautiful. I love the idea.Happy Birthday to Ben 60 is definitely a different season in life. I will be turning 60 in December of this year. I wish both of you a blessed Thanksgiving.🍁
Linda you are so clever, I never thought of using my little watering can to fill up my iron. That just makes it so much easier. Thanks for this handy tip!
I love the thanksgiving tree. You inspired me to do this last year and left it up through Christmas as one of my trees (one of three). I’m planning to do another one this year.
Beautiful decor! I love that you are not skipping right to Christmas decor but keeping it muted with natures colors and toward Thanksgiving. Can you tell me what color of the wall paint is in your Green Room?
Just beautiful hope you a good celebration .Linda I notice your window candles any information on where to purchase they look just perfect in your home . ❤️
I always enjoy seeing your Thanksgiving tree. and love the new location for the pheasant prints - perfect! Agree about the relocation of the grandfather clock, but not sure it will remain...hmmm. Your preparations for Ben's birthday party looked terrific - I'm all for doing it yourself, but your decision to go with catering support was a smart one. Nothing wrong with having some items prepared by others - one can only do so much cooking and still enjoy the process and not be too stressed. Hope it was an enjoyable evening for all, and a very happy birthday to him!
I have a feeling the clock will be going back some time soon and I might have to find another thrift one for the library. Picking up the food was so helpful this time with how busy I've been.
What a great video. I enjoyed that! Living vicariously, enjoying your decor. I loved the many different scenes and projects~ love the longer videos, love the music. Winner 💕
I love your attention to detail and I am sure your guests do too! I agree with you that the Grandmother clock fades into the wooden wall. But change is good! I need some of your energy, I am procrastinating the cleaning in my home for Christmas guests! Happy Birthday to Ben! Loved the apple peel story and how the “B” appeared on the floor! Love your sense of humor. Happy Thanksgiving as well!
The pictures are perfect hanging in the library shelves. The thanksgiving tree is very beautiful and it gives me a lot of inspiration for autumnal decor. Another pleasant visit with you in your lovely home. You really made me laugh out loud a couple of times in this video. A very happy birthday to Ben.
Now THATS what a Thanksgiving tree should look like! Absolutely beautiful Linda! I was thinking…..that tree would be perfect where the grandfather clock was? I love Sunday’s with Linda!
Hello from the UK.👋🏻🇬🇧 I love your channel. Your home is just gorgeous. The “silver dollar “ stems are called “ honesty” here in the UK. Wishing you all a very Happy Thanksgiving. Enjoy.🦃🍂
Happy Sunday, Linda. You have been a busy bee. Happy Birthday to Ben! The wood table top looked great after its spa treatment. The table was a great find. I like where you put the pheasant prints. Just the right spot. Finally chilling here in NC. Putting up our three Christmas trees to get a jump on my to do list. I look forward to your Thanksgiving tree each year. Such a creative idea. Interested to see the yard when the trees have been taken down. Decided on the barn instead of the breezeway? Have a blessed week.
Wishing Ben a wonderful Happy Birthday!🎉 Regarding your light strands, if half of the set is out, it may be a fuse. Not sure if you know thus, but they have two fuses in the plug end. You can buy replacement fuses anywhere they sell christmas lights. Hope that helps. As always, another great video. ❤
Linda, thank you for another enjoyable video. I look forward each Sunday to viewing them. You are so creative and inspirational. Anyone would be honored to be a guest at one of your parties. You put so much time and effort into making people feel valued and special. I love the variety of content and your music selections. I never saw an apple peeler in operation before. That was fun to watch. You are a "gift" to your audience. Looking forward to next week's video. God bless your "kindred spirit". Robert.
Oh sweet spirit ….how beautiful …..I cried because my partner has had a bone marrow transplant and I’ve been in the hospital in isolation with him we will be here through the holidays. Not back home until march I really miss our home. Happy 60 th to your husband 🎉in October I turned 63 🙋🏻♀️
I love that you don't do anything halfway! The picture placements are perfect. Please return the clock to the dining area. I so enjoyed seeing it there, such a beautiful clock. The tree is my favorite, encompassing all of Sugarwood's outdoors. Kind of sad to see the trees falling but I get that it is necessary. Happy birthday to Ben. Kiss Willow for me!
I agree with you about the clock. I will most likely move it back after Christmas since I larger Chrismas tree will be close to the area (unless it fits where the Thanksgiving tree is).
A sconce between the windows with something hanging from it and two simple wreaths in the windows would dress up that space. Maybe extra seating below.
I don’t care for ironing either so I have two hints to pass along. Wool balls (Trader Joe kind, not cheap ones) do work so I don’t have to use dryer sheets. But for forgotten knit shirts, I keep a bottle of Wrinkle Release in my bathroom upstairs. ( it available locally so I had to go to Amazon). A good spray, a little dry time, and ready! WOW, Linda..! I can't believe the difference in your backyard without the Pine trees. So haunting and beautiful at the same time with the sun setting and bouncing off the clouds! PS. I bought the window candles last week and I love them! So much easier than the electric candles we grew up with. Although I love the nostalgic look and brightness of them, I just couldn't look at the cords just hanging anymore and going around and shutting them off. So, Thank you for the link to the timer candles!🙂 HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEN!
I sold two of my apple peelers at a garage sale ,a couple of years ago. Being I can’t stand in one space for very long,I get my bowls in hand, sit on my sofa, peel, core, slice, all my apples. I seal them tight in container,in fridge overnight. The next day ,it’s a rolled crust pie,or Apple Pandowdy. It really saves on my legs.🥰
Another great video, Linda! I laughed so hard when you appeared on camera with that fly swatter! I can totally relate. Last week, we had a fly in the house for days, and he taunted me so badly. He would fly back and forth between me and the computer screen, and when I was just sitting with my coffee, he buzzed the top of my hair over and over again! 🤔
Linda, I so love the way you say that’s what I do,that is so cute of you. I think the same as you. You tell that testy fly,😂 Linda. Where can I get pheasants like you have. Been looking a few years with on avail. Loved your sharing, I get so many tips from you.👏🏻❤️😊
Hi Linda, I have always added vanilla to my apple pie. I love it. I thoroughly enjoy your videos on Sundays. Makes my day. Also, over a year ago I copied your recipe for blueberry muffins, the best ever. Thank you. Love seeing Willow following you around.
Hi Linda . Loves your videos . Picked up a tip of using the cookie sheet under the apple corer ,never thought of that . A little tip from me is try putting a dish towel under the cookie sheet . it should stop it from sliding around. Have a Happy birthday party for Ben and a wonderful Thanksgiving !
Not sure if someone has mentioned this yet bc I haven’t read the comments. But, in reference to that string of lights not working. If a bulb is broken or partially out of its “socket” the entire strand won’t work. It’s a safety thing. Especially the broken bulb issue. So, before you throw them away, look at each bulb carefully and make sure one isn’t damaged in anyway first.
Hey Linda, I really appreciated your video because I’m gonna be hosting Thanksgiving dinner this year and a lot of your ideas are like my ideas you crack me up because flies drive me nuts as well. It’s funny how you get to know that people that are a lot like you anyway I appreciate everything. God bless have a great party and happy Thanksgiving to God bless
Glad you sell the butcher block oil. We had a custom top made for our island that we are getting ready to install and it came pre oiled. So buying that and I also want to get the vanilla. Wanted to order the toile pj’s but they are sold out. Thanks again.🦃
There's a small fuse in the light strand plug... that could be why your lights aren't working. Worth a check. Sometimes they come with extra bulbs and a fuse 😊
love your house. Really don't understand the wingback chairs in the dining room. seems like they are in the way. the thanksgiving tree is beautiful.. the grandfather clock really gets lost on the wall. its such a beautiful piece to hide.
Hi Lynda, Always look forward to your videos every week. I love all the colours you use in your home! I did some research and did you know your Good Queen Bess is a portrait called “The Darnley Portrait” and is in The National Portrait Gallery in London, England? Keep up the good work!

Happy Sunday, Linda. You have been a busy bee. Happy Birthday to Ben! The wood table top looked great after its spa treatment. The table was a great find. I like where you put the pheasant prints. Interested to see the yard when the trees have been taken down. Decided on the barn instead of the breezeway? Have a blessed week.

Love, love, love the pheasants in the library.
Linda, it looks just lovely. ❤

Thank you! I will give it a try. I have in the past and either damage them or it does not work, but I'm willing to give it another go!
@newenglandfineliving I've experienced the same. They are ridiculously small!
Great video as always. You made me chuckle in your pursuit of the fly…. Swatter in hand! I’m the same, they have to go. 😂

I liked the clock where it was between the windows. It looked more comfortable there.😊.
I agree! It will most likely go back soon. It liked the kitchen and greeted me whenever I entered.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I hear you about the flies! LOL!
Linda, omgosh your daughter is a mini me of you….totally. Two beautiful young ladies😍
Maybe put the pheasant pictures on the other side of the windows where the Black Horse sign is.
I did put them in the bedroom, but I think I will give it a try! Thank you for the suggestion!
I ironed my dad’s undershirts when I was home. I still iron my sheets and pillow cases if they need it.
Linda, I really enjoy your posts. I watch it while fixing lunch after church. I like where you placed the pictures.
I'm happy you enjoy them!
This party will be amazing ❤
❤❤❤❤❤❤thanks Linda❤❤❤❤
You can also use the silica packs from medicine or vitamin bottles or in shoe boxes to keep moisture out.
So much work! I'm tired just watching you clean. I'm looking forward to seeing what the yard looks like without the trees.
Hopefully it will stay clean another week for our Thanksgiving! Today I am totally resting with my feet up!
Glad you sell the butcher block oil. We had a custom top made for our island that we are getting ready to install and it came pre oiled. So buying that and I also want to get the vanilla. Wanted to order the toile pj’s but they are sold out. Thanks again.🦃
I have more pjs! They will be added to the shop tomorrow.
@ I ordered the oil for the butcher block but couldn’t figure out how to get the vanilla.
@@dianeabney1745 Hi Diane, it can be purchased on Sugarwood1790.com
@ I’ll check back tomorrow, thanks.
There's a small fuse in the light strand plug... that could be why your lights aren't working. Worth a check. Sometimes they come with extra bulbs and a fuse 😊
Good morning Linda!❤
I've made apple peel jelly. It makes such a lovely pink jelly!
I've never made apple peel jelly! Something new to try!
Oh Linda I think the clock has to go back. You’re right it disappears in brown wood wall.
I have always put vanilla in my apple pie's
love your house. Really don't understand the wingback chairs in the dining room. seems like they are in the way. the thanksgiving tree is beautiful.. the grandfather clock really gets lost on the wall. its such a beautiful piece to hide.
Love pie and coffee for "breakfast". 🙂
Beautiful🍁🍂
And I miss the clock in the kitchen!
It might have to go back.
Hi Lynda, Always look forward to your videos every week. I love all the colours you use in your home! I did some research and did you know your Good Queen Bess is a portrait called “The Darnley Portrait” and is in The National Portrait Gallery in London, England?
Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much! I didn't know that!
P.s. I like the tall case clock in the kitchen better.
Check the fuse on the second set of lights, it could be the source of the problem.
