Your coloring is so beautiful! I've never even thought about coloring in grayscale, but now I definitely want to give it a try. I can hardly wait to see your finished page. You are so skilled, and I have learned so much from you. You have such a calm and peaceful demeanor. I'm sure that you love what you are doing. Thanks again for the inspiration, Pam!
you can used markers and water color , alcohol markers , paint pens in any thin coloring books without it showing thru on backside page if u just brush a thin coat of mont marte clear texture gesso. A quick trick for all books, it behaves super great on paper, and protects every page. You apply it b4 u color. Its great.
This is amazing. I’ve just bought a greyscale image today I posted it to the group. It’s the skin tone that’s scary so I might have a few practice goes first. Grayscale is a little bit like colouring with numbers
KUDOS to you 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 I get so overwhelmed with so many color choices so I keep my pencil sets to less than 40. I have to mix A LOT and do layers to produce colors. It works for me and has helped so much, but I can see how having a lot of choices out the gate saves a lot of time. And just think that large set doesn't even have anywhere near all the possible colors in the world 😩
What a great way to color gray scale. You are right the pages in the books are so flimsy. I’m planning on buying a new HP printer. What model would you recommend? My current printer is old and it won’t take card stock or any type of thick paper at all. Thanks Hadassah
Wow, that tan paper makes a big difference. It looks great. Thank you for doing this. Also with all the helpful tips and tricks. Very informative. How did u get the copy on the paper so perfect. Did you take the page out of the coloring book or did you just place the coloring book on copier
Thank you. It does make a huge difference. If you watch the video, I explain to you exactly how I got the image onto the paper. It was scanned into my computer and then printed. Thanks for watching.
I recently found you von you tube and subscribed. I enjoy watching you. I find you interesting and informative. I have recently bought a gray scale book. I am having some trouble with the skin colors not covering the gray scale. Do I not put enough pencil down? Right now all I have are Crayola pencils , plus Crayola skin color pencils. I am planning on getting some Brutfuner pencils in the next month or so. Thank you for doing what you do.
Your coloring is so inspiring! Would you mind sharing which scanner/printer you use? I'm needing a new one and I'm not sure which would be best for coloring pages and heavier paper. I have a Laserjet but I'm leaning towards ink jet for this purpose. Thank you!
Hi Melissa, here is the printer I use to print out all my coloring pages. I was even able to get it to take watercolor paper which is amazing. amzn.to/3nacHbV
I liked the way that you explained how to do gray scale coloring. It's a Beginner's Colorist guide to learning how to shade, highlight, blend, etc...

How does chalk pastels work on the background with the toned tan paper?
I haven’t used them yet on the toned paper, but I might try. Maybe I’ll do a chalk pastel background on this one.
Is using tan paper a necessity? Can I use my white Spring Hill?
yes you can use your Springhill paper. You don't need tan paper. I just like the contrast on the tan paper. Happy Coloring!
I tried to subscribe to your channel and it wouldn’t allow me.
