@@blackflag6976 yes, you can say that. Most people in the North of India to the Deccan region are usually Hanafis i.e . Maturidis, whereas people who live in the Southern parts of India like Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Coastal Karnataka are Shafi'is i.e. Asharis.

But in south india we commonly known as Sunni.
