Most boy group x girl group mashups are kind of trash, with either the boy group pitched way too high, the girl group pitched way too low, or both, but yours never seem to have that problem, and I think I figured out why. Can you tell me if this is accurate?
If the girl song is 7 steps higher than the boy song most people will either pitch the boy song 7 steps higher, the girl song 7 steps lower, or adjust them by 3 and 4 steps.
But you'd just pitch the boy song one step down so that they're harmonizing in the same key, an octave apart. (This would also explain why it always seems to be the song sung by deeper voices that gets pitched down.)
