My parents and I own a home together with "rights of survivorship" They are currently on Mediciad Waiver program. They will both be moving into a nursing home soon... what are options to do with the home?
My mother-in-law is on Medicaid, she owns a mobile home, is worth $150,000k. She didn't transfer the asset to a trust before the 5 year lookback. She still lives in it. If she sells the mobile home now and gives the money to her son, Can Medicaid come after the money she owed for all the medical expenses they paid? please let me know. Thanks
If me and my daughter own a mobile home worth 50 thousand she receive Medicare for herself and her children I get Medicare and Medicare if I died will they take the home away from her and grad children my health is not good hope you can answer my questions for peace of mine
Selling a home after qualifying for Medicaid can kick you off Medicaid because you have converted an exempt asset (the home) into a non-exempt or countable asset (cash). There are some things that can be done with the home short of selling it to preserve Medicaid eligibility. Talk to an elder law attorney. We can help.
I bought my moms home a year ago or so. Her health has declined and she's being forced to use medicaid. Can the medicaid people come back and take the home from me even tho I've bought it and have a mortgage on it?
Medicaid in Florida has what is called a 5 year look back. We would be happy to answer your questions but are not able to effectively on a post. Please call us at 904-880-5554 or book a call at your convenience through our website at: www.legacyplanninglawgroup.com/book-a-call/
