Since you remove the top handle strap, Have you tried a attaching the long crossbody strap to the top loops instead of the lower side loops? Then the “ear” won’t get stuck when you close your bag😄

Bought a Chloé tess bag from farfetch but the texture seems to be different from what I’ve seen in store. And there’s scratch and crumbled on the surface .. wonder if they sell substandard / fake products :(
