What a beauty! Dealerships always perplexed me. A dealer's whole existence relies on repeat and new customers. When I was looking to buy my truck I didn't look for price I looked for the best rated service dealership and travelled 1 hour away to buy it. Best decision ever. I'm at the age now where if you wrong me once you will never see me again. =D Good decision finding a better dealer!
Nice Machine, CONGRATS!! I have the previous series X7, 2WD, gas. What you call a "proportioning valve" behind where your hydraulic hoses connect is actually a lockout valve. You crank it all the way in for snow duties, and it locks out fluid from going to your deck lift hydraulic cylinder. That way your blower chute and angle cylinder (depending on if you are using a blower or a blade) operate faster. I'd love a Diesel and 4WD, but it's just a want and not a need.
Congratulations! I just noticed you got the new machine. I still have my X738 and love it. Might consider deisel next time, but my gasser does everything I need it to do. Look forward to more videos!
I have a 2021 X738 with the 60HC deck. I respectfully disagree with the removal of the plastic coverers from the drive over ramps. I find there is no need. Those drive over ramps pop off with just a tug (totally tool less) and the covers come with them. One of my favorite features of the new HC decks.
I just traded my 2019 x738 with 120 hours for an x758.my new one will be in first week in October.I also purchased the 47” snowblower,I live in the northeast.Looking forward to getting it.They gave me $8500 trade on mine. Was the best offer out of the 4 price quotes.Look forward to the new x758 videos.👍
I have one I just bought Your right there’s a lot of rpm on that motor and deck Make sure to keep it greased, all the zirks and deck to Will last a long time Keep it clean to
I don't know what you paid for the 738 but $7500 for a machine with 500 hours is pretty fair. It must have been in great shape. I'm surprised the dealership offered you that without seeing the machine in person and checking compressions, etc. I think you did well on the deal. I'd like t trade my 590 for one some day.
@@stuntcardriver Well, I know JD's and Kubota's both have good resale value and I also know that currently both are experiencing backlog issues due to the Covid restrictions. It's probably a good time to buy if one can find the machine they want. I know there's waiting lists on certain machines and implements right now.
In Northern WI myself and I’m interested in going to a family dealership rather than the competitor that dominates the state. Let me know how your experience is with them down the road. It’s about an hour drive for me, too… and I’d be glad to make it!
How does this thing handle on hills? Like going sideways on 10-15 degree slopes? My x590 can handle them fine I’m wondering if this would actually be an improvement for mowing slopes sideways since it’s a bit heavier and wider stance? Thoughts?
I have never had an issue mowing hills. I borrowed my dad's x580 and that struggled on the hills that I mowed. I never had a traction issue with my x738 or x758.
I'm considering a 758 or 739. On another forum, X758 owners (4 of them) all complained that a carriage bolt on the auto connect lift mechanism rubs on the right side of the frame causing a vibration when mowing. Has that been an issue with your's? Also, do you find your 758 better at blowing snow than your 738 or about the same? Thx.
@JD-sq2vn I don't have auto connect, so I don't have any vibration when moving. When blowing snow with the x738 you could get the blower to bog down the machine and slow it down in deep snow. The x758 will lug down, but just keeps going. Feels like the x758 could shear a bolt on the blower before running out of power.
My sister has some property out in Minnesota, they have a older 455. Man i love that thing, but anyways. The rpm on yours sounds pretty similar to what that machine runs. Whenever our family goes out to visit sometimes ill get lucky and the grass will be long, let me tell you what, 4 hours of bliss.
So far, how is it compared to the X738? My Grandpa just bought a X738 in May that now has 25 hours. I'm thinking he should've got the diesel (he paid 17,000$ total for his 738, 54in deck, and 47in blower). But all he does is mow about 0.90 acres and snow blows 4 roughly 60ft x 25ft foot driveways in the winter.
@@stuntcardriver That I was kind of figuring. He had a 1995 445 that he bought new and used to plow 5-6 driveways back then with it (22hp) and the same 47in blower with no issues. I'm sure the X738 will do great at that, and so far it's done just fine at mowing too. But he's mentioned it a few times to me that it's a gas hog and even the old 445 used less fuel, and had a bigger tank to boot. Since his is such low hours and almost brand new I personally feel he should trade it in for an x758 but I'm not sure that it's truly necessary or not
Are these worth 18 grand? I just started cutting grass commercial and I get to use a X475 HUGE upgrade from a craftsman LT1000 😂 I’d love the diesel but is it just worth buying. A 1025R or a BX and do they make loaders for these?
@@Huntersprojects I use it for cutting lawn and blowing snow. I am not sure loaders are available, they use to make a loader for the earlier models. I do not have the rear pto.
You must live in Pennsylvania, because my dealership treats people poorly at best. But you now have a nice machine. Good luck with it. Band of Brothers and Sisters. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
@@stuntcardriver ??? I have a 2020 X758 and all green fender parts + hood are plastic / polycarb. Which I actually like… it wears better (scratches aren’t a big deal and it’ll never rust)
Does the tractor have DEF Or as I Collett government juice if it does return it as soon as you can unless you’re a millionaire and can afford to keep Cleaning the particulate filter it’s going to be a nightmare to keep that tractor running
I have the X758 I love it. There is no way I would ever recommend circumventing jumping the seat. So if your mower were to flip the blade would not stop. If you want to put your life at risk that is one thing but to tell other people to do this is not wise.
Nice! But it’s about time the X758 got the less boxy hood (getting a little long in the tooth), more aggressive and modern looking grill/hood treatment of the X300 and X500 series!
I own a 2002 X595 diesel.... Not much has changed in 20 years. I absolutely love my tractor, it a beast. Mine has 1900 hours....
1900? mine only has 170 and its struggling to start

Both dealers just ask for a few pictures with one being of the hour meter. They won't send anyone out anymore to look at the machine.

Nothing phases the x758. The x738 is a very capable machine just has less torque. I have the same size snowblower and the x738 handled it no problem.
