As an American main, I find it interesting that the US tanks go from spamming pretty fast reloading but mid shells to getting good shells that take a month to reload. I don't know about high tier, but it seems like whoever runs the company bases their models on export variants only because US tanks have no pen vs Russian/Russian derived ERA while their shots got through M1s like butter.
So, from what I have experienced it goes-37mm solid shot to 75mm solid shot, to 75mm APHE then jump tiers because 76mm solid shot and APHE is WAY too op so you always get uptiered or your vehicle is overtiered. Then get the 90mm in both of the Jacksons. It is probably the only time the tier, gun and ammo are good. Then run the way all the way to the 105mm with 90mm guns that have similar penetration at rank V(7.7) in the M48, just higher muzzle velocity and 15mm more HEATFS pen than an M36B2 at rank III(5.7). After that, and during that time in the heavy tree, the deadly long reload time of the 105mm and 120mm kick in.
I am honestly stopping ground arcade and RB at the M103. I have seen enough to know that high and top tier are pretty toxic. Back to naval, which is kind of fun but derpy at the same time. I have also been having a good amount of fun in air arcade and RB at low tier. I am still working on it. Ground balances are and have been kind of wierd for a while now.
7.7 Heavy tanks actually barely weigh anything. It’s the balls of the person who plays it who weight it down

Good stuff. I was here initially for Batotrauma & Subnautica. Your Warthunder vids have made me increasingly interested in checking the game out tho.
Just be ready to get frustrated as you learn the game. WT takes a bit to figure out; like surviving in EFT or parrying in dark souls. But, it is good once you got the hang of it. I hope you have fun should you try it!

hey polar you should play the TAM, it has apfsds, a stabilizer, and an LRF at 8.7, and from my experience, 8.7 is downtier HEAVEN

at least its 7.7 so downtiers are fairly common
@@jasskeeper8152 sure, good armor and a good shell, but guess what. It's 7.7, you face things with apfsds, heat, and some things with good armor. This is why this tank is so madly annoying to play.
Is 2: 122mm gun is 3: the same 122mm gun at 7.3 is 4: THE SAME GUN AT 7.7 but IT WORKS

Dear american main players. I wanna ask you question. Why you guys hate this tank. This tank have excelent frontal armor.
If Im tiger II facing this in uptier my gun cant kill you frontally.

This is actually my favorite heavy for America. It's the heat slingers that I hate to be honest. And if you play the regular t32, people just go for the machine gun port and negate your armor. The gun isnt the best but you can still generally use it in an uptier, downtier its perfectly fine. I honestly just wish it had the super pershing reload.
@@keith91z28 ahh I see now. It has unnecesary debuff. Its gun its should've been better than long 88. Reload should've been under 15's.
I imagine its like playing jumbo pershing at 6.7 excellent armor mediocore gun.
@@jasskeeper8152 pretty much yes. Even though I know it's not "historically accurate", I wish it at least got the same penetration or gun as the t29 to make it a bit more competitive at its current br. However I still love it and to me it's such a good looking tank.
It's mostly the constant uptiers to 8.7, where your mediocre firepower really starts struggling. If you get downtiered to 6.7, you're a god among men.
