So, I've been looking forward to this month all year long~ Around August my co-director and I began discussing what we wanted to do for this year's #HorrorForHyles. We ran through a handful of ideas, but this one called "Ghost Covers" stood out the most. To our knowledge, there hadn't been anything done like it, and it made for a potentially really creepy video. I, for one, am not one to go looking for these kinds of things. In fact, I would often advise most people not to do any of this. However, after some consultation with trusted individuals in my life it became apparent that if I were to do this series I would need to guard my heart and mind carefully. I know it sounds kind of silly when I put it like that, but we had some intense discussion on whether or not we should do this at all. We laid some ground rules: No recording at locations where "malevolent" activity was reported, no enticing or challenging entities, and no disrespecting the grounds. Let me also put it this way, if you will allow to spout beliefs for a second; there is good and evil in this world. At places where tragedy, injustice, and/or hate has taken place, it is best to assume that evil resides there. With this in mind, "Ghost Covers" is a way for me to bring some light and levity into a place that has not seen it for quite some time.
For this, the third episode we are BACK at the Spring Villa estates to see what else we can find~

It's almost as if you can feel your voice reaching into the spirits telling them to move on and let it go.
Now I can't hear this song without crying, you did such a good job. Linkin Park has been with me since I was 15 years old and the death of Chester still hurts today. They did save me from so much, I wish I could of saved him.

After a song like that, if there were any spirits there, I think they are happily gone now, such an uplifting song and a powerful voice....yeah, that place is purged.

That was absolutely amazing. Even if that place was packed full of dangerous evil ghosts im sure once you started singing they all decided to listen and let you go without harm because they couldnt bring themselves to kill such a beautiful voice.

Curiously enough, there's a few theories that support spiritual communication through singing or shouting as it alters the energy or vibrations of the environment around you. We've had some mad stuff happen whilst singing folk songs and hymns.

Don't you absolutely crap your pants when you record these songs in haunted places (AT NIGHT!)? How do you even manage to stay calm let alone sing a song this well!?

Maybe the only scary thing is what they might do if he stopped...
Well realizing that ghosts aren't real probably helps him a lot.
