Jeff, I think I speak for all of your followers, we can hardly wait for the Moab 240 movie to come out! What an achievement.
damn right!!!😂❤
I think I'm more excited for this video than for any movie/video ever. Well maybe Top Gun 2. So my list goes: Top Gun 2 and then Jeff's MOAB 240 video LOL.
@@cpruns4501I have the same list!
I get so fired up from your videos Jeff! You inspired me to start running. I did my first marathon last October and I'm running a 55k in wales this coming may. Very much looking forward to the Moab video 😁
What a year! 🎉 🎉🎉Thanks for the inspiration going into 2024!
That camera is incredible.......and great information. thanks
Jeff thanks for your hard work and making it harder by documenting it all. Man if you have any time to share with me any job opportunities in this trail world of hosting, guiding, filming, editing the great outdoors please let me know. Seems like a dream I’m unsure how to tap in to. Carry on brother!
Living the dream Jeff! Amazing work!
What a magnificent year you've had
I'm so stoked for the MOAB240 Documentary!
Great year for you! Loved the videos!! Loved watching them while I recovered from various epic hikes. I sadly had to get my gall bladder removed a week ago and 30 stairs feels like a life and death sprint. It's taking me 12 hours to walk a mile. Sighs. I have a very long winter of healing and a hard spring training to go through. But please keep going for me!
wow…❤…
that volume though , with 💪elevation!!!
Wow what a dream Jeff, thanks for bring us a long. Excised for next year.
This is insane! Congrats on your achievement and I can't wait for the film thank you for the inspiration to start Ultrarunning!
What a year! Great video as always and I know you said a lot here and there was a ton of strategy in your training but what I took away from it was "Consistency, consistency, and then....just a bit more consistency. Those 40KM "low" volume weeks add up fast when they are put back to back to back leading up to large training blocks and events. Very well done. 2024 is going to be awesome!
Love that type of content, would be curious to know how you would train for a backyard type race, and if it's on your to do list. Just got a spot at the Cacouna one in QC next summer.
Nice one! I haven’t really considered doing one, although I haven’t ruled it out either. I’d have to put some thought into if and how I would train any differently..
This looks like an absolutely amazing year of wonderful travel around the world.
Are you a full time Athlete / RUclipsr?
Would you have any recommendations for anyone that aspires to do more adventure travel, but is balancing full time work?
I have a business I run that affords me the time to do this almost full time the way I do, but I think any kind of digitally nomadic job may help you to be able to travel more!
great name drop, billy yang. I kid, love your work
You didn’t notice the shot of Ben Parkes and Sarah Place though 😂
cheers as always Jeff, one thing I find hard as someone just lifting my base load now (50km/week) is the notion of having my weekly load climb and fall on either side of yearly targets. This gave me a great visual and given I also use Coros was particularly helpful
Yes! That taper and subsequent recovery period is so important. That’s also the downside to having too many goals in a single season, it’s hard to be both consistent and targeted in your training. Goals require sacrifice in that way.
@@JeffPelletier cheers mate, actually the other point I loved that you made is you entered events but not as a "goal" for the season. This was a new way of looking at it for me. Just enjoy the day out and get miles in the legs!
Can't wait to see what you've planned for 2024, Jeff. That Lottery for Hardrock is tough to crack. I think I saw Zach has got an entry so I'm guessing he's giving UTMB a miss next year.
I have a feeling a few of the elites will be skipping UTMB next year!
Man, really hope you finally get lucky in the Hardrock lottery!
Gotta get them to hook you up with the insta360 RS 1-inch camera, the quaility is much better. Only downside is it isn't waterproof. I used the 1 inch for all of my canadian rockies videos, its a real champ when things get really serious and dangerous haha and I'm no longer in filmmaker mode... just survival mode.
That definitely is a drawback. Then again, footage from the Insta360 X3 doesn't exactly look great when there's any water on the lens ;)
@@JeffPelletierI hear that, I had a mud spot on my go pro lens once... made most of that footage unusable.
Great mix of run adventures and bucket list races! Enjoy following the journey.
Congrats on an amazing and successful 2023! Question regarding the Insta360 X3: which "kit" do you recommend to purchase for running coverage? Thank you!
For me, the Invisible Selfie Stick and Lens cap are essentials. You'll of course need a memory card as well.
Really do appreciate your videos, awesome! I'd love for you to separate advertisements and content a bit clearer for us viewers. For example I have no clue why you recommend the coros dashboard, is that an ad or genuine? Thanks for the great videos and keep it up!
Thanks for that feedback! Definitely something I could make clear for the brands I work with on a regular basis, including those like Salomon where the sponsorship isn't as obvious.
@@JeffPelletier thanks for coming back on this one, I appreciate it a lot, as you could, very rightfully so, also just shrug it off 🙏. Keep up the great work, your content makes me happy :) Best wishes from Girona and see you on the trail some day.
Is this your full time job? Great content btw
I run a business that allows me to work remotely.
As a long-term fan of your videos, and for some friendly feedback, this season of your training diaries found the very edge of what is a tolerable amount of advertising for us viewers. I know it's how you pay the bills and we all obviously support you in that, but I'd be reluctant to keep watching if the balance of paid/unpaid content tipped much further.
I've been rethinking my approach to both this series and how I work with sponsors for 2024, so I appreciate that feedback!
It's an amazing tool and I love the way you use that camera, but when it is noticeably distorted I can't stand it and that globe thing people do is just the worst shot ever.
