@@contrarian8877 I own VocalSynth 2 and it is different tool. There are no build-in modulators, adsr, arps and other cool features. You can achieve other advanced effects with new Waves plugin. :)
@@rubyroyd all those features & you still end up with the same sound you get with plugins with lesser features. I haven't heard anything unique from watching the videos of this, to this day I still use native instrument's the mouth, haven't seen a plugin since that can replace it, including this one.

Interesting. I have tons of waves plugs but this seems pretty easy.
I've had Izotope Vocal Synth 2 for a while ... but with closer examination I can see the 0Vox differences. I particularly like the note-mapping due my chord theory knowledge. I'll just have Izotope VS2 and Waves 0vox at my disposal depending on what I want for a song. ok...SOLD.
I purchased Izotope’s Voicesynth 1 and 2 and I purchased Sound Toys Alterboy all in pursuit of the Roger Troutman talk box sound. Then I purchased the MXL 22 talk box and I have a hard time using it and keeping the tube in my mouth (no jokes please) and with a keyboard and I trying to record my vocals using the talk box inside the Isovox small booth it wasn’t the cleanest sound. Well with this plugin I believe my search is over. I think Waves has the closest sound to the Roger Troutman talk box effect
Half the fun is emptying out the spit bucket (when you're new), rattling your molars and getting the taste of Plastic out of your mouth =) This plug in is on sale right now and I'm tempted too... I'm trying to get the Teddy Riley vocoder/talkbox Chords sound on some of his old SWV remixes.

@@PharaohLawLess1 roger used a talkbox with a sawtooth patch from any synth he used a university sound driver talkbox and a crown amp
@@PharaohLawLess1 IF you have a hardware talkbox i suggest you try learning it because that is what roger used.

it sounds almost like (but not quite as good as) the cyclon robots from battle star galactica the 70s tv show.. those robot voices were done on old synths 50 years ago but they were better quality back then imo

You forgot to add the midi import/export file from the note mapper control window ! It would be nice to add it for the next upgrade ;)
Exellent , nice release Waves ....i used to play chords manually in orange vocoder , can we do the same isntead of using the built in keyboard ?
Definitely but the keyboard is not a must when using OVox. Just set the chords in the Note Mapper and you're good to go.

I got it just right after you released it and it's freakin amazing! I'm playing with it for like 4 hours and im realy amazed how it works, how much posibilities it gives! I need only one thing to be fully satisfied with this one - i checked all options, eq's etc., had fun with creating my own chords - all works perfect. But please can someone explain me, how can i make it play harmonics through midi channel or how to route ?

Greetings! The Ovox is something that I have been waiting for years. I have precious little money to pretty much buy anything. But first I would like to know a few things as I am a complete idiot and a moron when it comes to computers and things like these... 1. I Have Reason 10.4 Intro which in itself is a great thing and yes, there is Reason 11 now out now but obviously I'd rather have the Ovox by far, so the question is, is the Ovox compatible with Reason 10.4? And if so, how would I sync them both together? 2. Would I require a mike for the Ovox? If so, how much, roughly, would a good one cost? 3. Does the Ovox have a drum machine? Sure Reason 10.4 Intro does, but for certain compositions, it's obviously easier to keep projects in one place. Thank you for your time and efforts. It is highly appreciated.

A microphone is required if you wish to sing into the plug-in in real time. 3. The OVOX does not have a drum machine but there is a beatbox preset which will allow you to play the drums with your mouth. Cool plugin, but this tutorial needs to be about an hour long
kinda cool.. but it all sounds kindalike a vocoder... i think I can get very similar results with a vocoder and other fx... dont need it.

I want recording with ovox. How can you use ovox in realtime in your daw. Which preferences or settings you have to note in the installation?
Hi POET, you can definitely work with OVox in real-time. OVox does not generate latency (under 88.2 kHz sample rates). Just make sure to keep your audio interface's Buffer Size low, and to keep all high-latency plugins disabled when recording.

I check the audiotracks, bus "channels" and connections, interface Focusrite etc. Okay, interesting- the buffer size. Somebody told me my project has to be in 44.1Khz. When it's a requirement, please write it in your manual in the topic "DAW". Thank you. I will give you a feedback. ;)
@@waves No sorry. Doesn't work. Now I try it with 88.2kHz and buffersize 32 ,64,128,192...nothing happens. No reaction..
I could not get the plugin to do anything I needed it to do like it shows here. Very disappointed I spent that money :-(

I bought this plugin but I´m having trouble with it in my REAPER daw. It doesn´t appear in it. I used Waves Center to install and so on, but ther plugin doesn´t work in Reaper. What I could be doing wrong? I´m need of help......
