My first keel boat was a Sirius. Loved it. Good on you for getting one out to duck island! My wife son and I are taking our Tartan out there next week.

Hi, I occasionally check youtube for Sirius 21 videos and yours caught my eye because you don't have winches astern of your halyard clutches. So I am curious how do you tension your halyards before engaging the clutches? I am interested because I want to route my mainsail halyard to the cockpit of my Sirius 21 for next season, but I want to keep the setup simple. If I can avoid mounting a winch on the cabin top that would be wonderful. Maybe you are using the jib sheet winches for tension? I also noticed that the blocks at the base of your mast are mounted through the cabin roof. I thought I might attach the block to the mast step on my boat. If you don't mind, please tell me how you decided on cabin roof vs. mast step for the blocks? Thanks for sharing your video. Tony

We haven't used the boat last year so I'm trying to remember... I know we didn't typically use a winch to raise the main or tension it for that matter as we're not competitive racers. Typically we would just point upwind, pull the rope by hand, and cleat. We may have used the winch in a situation where raising it was difficult. The boat came with the cleat blocks already mounted through the cabin, I never considered moving them as they seemed conveniently located. Thanks for viewing!

Hi, and thanks for the great video. I have watched the video, 6 times. I am pretty sure I am a previous owner of your Sirius. We used to sail her on Lake Huron, out of Bayfield. How long have you owned her and did you paint the hull yellow, or a previous owner? Again, great video, thanks for sharing the trip

We did purchase a new main sail and kept the same number, 63, is this the same boat? We are actually transferring to a new owner tomorrow.

I think the old name of the boat was adagio

Did you purchase a C&C at the time of sale?

@@fudderrucker851 yes, we had named the boat Adagio, in blue and red script on the bow, both sides! It was a great boat.
