    Our books would always feature the Taal Volcano as the iconic small hill within the lake since it's also regarded as the shortest volcano in the world. I've only discovered not too long ago that the crater is actually the entire lake itself and the iconic small volcano is just one these craters. Truly nature's wonders but with a deadly past.

But according to books there’s a very tiny freshwater sardine that is only found in that lake called tawilis. Tawilis is described as the best tasting sardine but unfortunately are almost or already extinct. Next time I go back home I’ll definitely go and see y’all lake and volcano when the time comes that I want to endure the extremely long flight.

    Taal looks breathtaking. I even had an island hopping moments years back going into the crater lake. It was all beautiful and awesome that we even had pictures of it back in the day.
    Taal doesn't look only small on a lake but its also terrific - in terms of being one of the most active volcanoes in the country. I badly remembered passing by the lake on road while it was spewing ash during its eruption back in 2020.

      @@WiserWorld.officialit is very terrifying TBH but the people in Lipa,Manila etc. Got terribly covered in ash which is devastating to sewer systems because ash doesnt desolve unlike any pther powder since the eruption is strong back in 2020 it actually hindered alot of businesses as well so yeah....😅

    • @WiserWorld.official
      @WiserWorld.official 11 месяцев назад

      @@uncannyessprisoop3707 Indeed, the eruption of Taal Volcano in 2020 had significant impacts on the surrounding areas, including Lipa and Manila. The ashfall and its aftermath caused challenges for both people and infrastructure. It's unfortunate that it affected businesses and sewer systems. Natural events like these can have a lasting impact on communities. Thank you for sharing this perspective.
