There is a reason marketing and social media agencies exist and charge sizeable fees. They can dedicate manpower to generating and keeping conversations about a brand going perpetually. Explosion of musical artists doesn't happen by chance or because a handful of youtube fans decide to share. You either have the financial backing of a major label or you resort to extremely creative guerilla tactics as an indie, or use a combination of both. You could also wait to grow organically and cover in 10 years the distance you could have covered in one.
I'd be happy to suggest a few ideas, if asked - not as an expert, but as someone who has observed the strategies of a few independent artists.
