  • "MIRRORS THAT HANG ON GLASS THREADS" is the first video by the Advanced LIGO Documentary Project, under a grant from the National Science Foundation to film the new era of gravitational-wave astronomy. Sponsorship also is provided by MathWorks, Caltech and MIT. The era was launched by the historic detection of gravitational waves in September 2015, opening up the 95% of the universe that has been dark to our existing observatories and satellite cameras. EPISODE 1 describes one of the brilliant, exquisite innovations in the 40-year search for gravitational waves - one that led to the historic detection of ripples in space time caused by the collision of two black holes 1.4 billion years ago...and now over 50 detections as of September 2021. Our series is now an ebook, with the full text of every episode and 80 photographs! books2read.com...

I want to share with LIGO, NASA, ESA, Elon Musk and SpaceX the Delta Vehicle I invented on April 19, 2000: a revolutionary system that harnesses all known deltas: Pressure, Voltage, Magnetism, Density, Temperature, Height, and Gravity. The most critical aspect of my Delta Vehicle is the Gravitational Delta. To fully utilize Gravitational Waves, the vehicle is equipped with three specialized devices:
    1. Gravitational Wave Tuner: To precisely adjust the vehicle's alignment with gravitation-al waves.
    2. Gravitational Wave Amplifier: To enhance the vehicle's response to these waves.
    3. Gravitational Wave Router: To direct and control the flow of gravitational energy, enabling efficient movement and energy generation.

Can't belive it's been 6 years since the announcement of success. I'm curious, what advancements in experimental design and materials science are projected to be necessary for reducing this instrument to the size of a building? A room? Ultimately to a sensor sold by Adafruit? Wouldn't it be fantastic too have a wristwatch that would stay synchronized to GMT Time as we travel between planets? I would suspect that a clock that can compensate for the effects of relativity AND gravitational fluctuations encountered along the way, without needing constant corrections from a ground station 16 light years away would be important for interstellar travel.

She's wrong about brains being more important than looks. Sorry but they are both equally important, whats more important than both looks and brains, is attitude and personality hands down.
