Hello in 2024. I am growing Tachi this season for the first time in Houston Tx. I planted them out Feb 25. This is May 7 and they were just starting to take on a hint of a blush when I was out in my garden today. They are super productive! Tall for determinates - mine are around 5 feet at their highest currently. I am looking forward to doing something with these!
I have made a note of the other determinate varieties suggested and will be purchasing several varieties for this fall and/or next spring.

Planting about 600 tomatoes in two different gardens about 50 miles apart this year. I planted the Bella Rosa and 3-4 others from you last year. The plot I planted in was brand new ground so the soil wasn't as developed as I would like. Everything did ok, not great, but I attributed most of that to the soil being what it was. We have really heavy clay soil so it takes a lot to get it amended as it should be. This year I'm planting Bella Rosa, Red Snapper, Summer Pick, Tachi, Better Boy and Black Krim from you and about 5-6 varieties of determinates from Harris. So I should have a fairly good chance to compare varieties, I'll let you know how everything does. I'm going to weigh all of my harvests individually so I'll know for sure what did best.

Great video, Travis...as always. I love supporting you guys.
I live in SE Virginia (Zone 7b) - first year growing Bella Rosa, Red Snapper, and Tachi. Also, growing Chef Choice Red, Big Beef, and Early Girl. Dr. Wyche Yellow, Aunt Ruby Green, Cherokee Purple, and Brandywine are my heirlooms for ‘Mater Sammiches. Growing several cherry tomatoes too - Sun Gold, Super Sweet 100, Black Cherry, Fantastico, Blondkopfchen. And lastly, one I highly recommend for superb flavor, is the AAS winner Red Torch. It’s the bomb and one you all should definitely start carrying in your seed store.
My first year using drip tape irrigation - definitely looking forward to this.
As for pruning indeterminates, I am on the fence. I usually prune mine but have always wondered if pruning works against me when the heat settles in. That foliage provides some nice shade and protects the blossoms. And yet diseases can be a real PITA. In the past I used neem oil and sodium bicarbonate sprays. This year I’m rotating different products from Monterrey. #HBTFD

If the plants will be in direct sun regardless of the row direction, it shouldn't matter. I have some plots that run E to W and others that run N to S and I can't tell a difference in performance. If one direction presents more direct sunlight, go with that direction.

The previous model we carried had 3/4 gallon and 2 gallon options. That model had a tank made of a hard plastic that was prone to splitting when left under constant pressure. We upgraded to a much better tank made of PVC that can be left under constant pressure and won't split. We also added a brass hose bib connector as opposed to the plastic one with the previous model. That's why you no longer see the size options on our product page -- we just have the one model that is 1 gallon now. That is plenty sufficient for most folks. I use it on my 1/4 acre garden no problem.
