A lot of people would probably swap out the engine for a 2T-C or 3T-C first, but I would do exactly what you're doing. The K engines are great little engines, and, besides, seeing what you can do with the most basic starting point is more interesting.
Hi, I know it's pretty late but may I ask if the engine have stock internals upon this build? Thanks! We have a willy's jeep with a toyota 4k motor on it, might as well do this. :)
@@vinnierolla Thanks bro, which one do you think is better, using blow throug or draw trought, if I want to keep using the original parts of the engine, such as the carburetor and fuel mechanics, maybe I'll just uparagde the ignition
Hey man are you in nsw , I'm really interested in this setup and wondering if I sent my items and money could you make mine up? I have 4k flange , t28b and flange of sr20det manifold and other bits
Yeah I’m NSW. If had the time I’d love to. I struggle to find time to work on my own projects. My last manifold took me a week to build. A fabricator should be able to do it in a day and heaps better quality.
@@vinnierolla that's fair enough man I appreciate the reply , you do some nice work and pretty much the only Aussie I can find that actually mucks around with k series engines , I originally built a aggressive cammed and port polished 4k that made 64kw haha not much but went well , roughly what price would I be looking at getting it all done together ?
@@soutarbrothersadventures5060 there was a guy in SA who was building k turbo manifolds for about $800. He doesn’t do them anymore. Wasn’t cost effective for him and his a fabricator. Most fabrication place charge between $1-2k for a turbo manifold. I spent about $300 on parts and spent the best part of 15 hours to build my last one. I’m pretty happy for a home job. I get why fab guys charge what they do. It really is an art to do it right and suit it to the car. Have you considered making a J pipe off the existing manifold?

@@WGurkha I’m my opinion, blow through is better as you have the ability to add more boost and expand in the future. Also sounds so much more cooler 😎
