Why do people always add units to 1,2,3 simultaneously? Then remove, add others, etc. etc. I don't get it.

I think it's about controlling your hot keys all the time.

​@@roylebitski6685 Yeah, but why add them to multiple? I usually put scout on 1 in the beginning. TC on a different number, and some vills on another. When I get military units, I add them all to individual numbers based on unit. Just not understanding the 1,2,3

@@foqsi_ I think the 123 in the hotkeys that he switching all the time, so this is why, again I think it's for control like in tennis you need to move you feet all the time even if you dont need to move:)

My understanding is that in the first part of the game he constantly change the 123 456 hotkeys based on the actions he's making depending on short term relevance, because he needs to be the fastest possible. Probably he feels more comfortable using all of them for very fast actions, you can see him doing it even after setting the base depending on how much is rushing.
I guess it's a winning strategy, he needs to keep up fast thinking with fast inputs
