Omg y’all apparently due to this clip someone from EN sent him a super passionate discord DM asking him who he wanted to collab with and that they’d set it up! He said they went, “For now I’ve asked Mysta! Who else do you want??” Nagao didn’t reveal who DMed him, but said that a collab like “Nagao VS EN” or something will happen soon.

Aww Nagao is so inspiring, man. I just love people who actually does something to accomplish what they want. That passion of him to learn English is too endearing, just like how hardworking Alban is on learning Japanese.

aww I really like when Nagao said Selen is great since she's a ball of laughter because a major reason I really like both Selen and Nagao is because of their infectious laughs :) hope they collab more (my personal wish is international nijipurple collab ww)
He did mention that if only he got close to Selen, Suha, And Nara faster maybe he could have invited them to his 3D! He said to the director he wanted them in, but apparently it was too close of a call so they couldn’t be invited. Pretty sure he’d love to collab with her again!

I hope Nagao gets to collab with more overseas livers! He seems to enjoy his time when collabing with others and even through with the language barrier, they all end up having fun and was full of laughter. Really is a great balance and chaos lol. I'm happy to hear that he wants to learn so that he can interact with more overseas livers. I'm sure many would love the same to collab with him too.
i think i somewhat understand how Nagao feel, altho EN can talk in Japanese, the vibe will be always different compare to when they talk in English, which also mean even though they can make a Japanese collab stream, Nagao wouldn't have the same experience which he love about NijiEN, so i think that's why he wanna learn English to experience it fully

some of Niji EN are also doing a lot to study Japanese, and it seems most of them understand it, but needs to improve in forming sentences. On the other hand, it's awesome to see Nijisanji branches collabing more now, especially EN who're trying their best to reach out to their senpais. How awesome would it be if we see more JP, KR ID and EN doing bigger collabs more often in the next half of this year.
Niji JP are great senpais since a lot of them are very welcoming. Hopefully, EN members do get more chances in getting together ioth them, now that Nagao and other JP members openly shared that they are also studying English.
If Nagao learns English, I will become happy beyond words. I’ve always wanted to watch a stream where I understood him

He is absolutely right about wanting to learn english by using it. That is the best way to learn a language. Theory of course comes first, but it is only a building block. To actually learn and be able to speak a language, you must use it.
Tbh i've been dipping my toes into the main branch and it so happened that VALZ is my gateway ! I love seeing them interact with everyone, I hope there'll be more opportunities for them to do so

i started watch jp before en and it’s really nice to see my favorite jp members interact with en!! nagao is a really dedicated person so i’m sure he will study hard with english, i can’t wait to see more of his interactions with en!
The MC open servers was so great, there were so many things they did as branch collab, and like Nagao said, if the JP senpais collabed with EN more, EN livers would get more exposure in JP areas and theyd get lots of translated clips too
Thank you so much for the subs! Recently Nagao's been very busy with lots of collabs and opening more to the international side and I've been really happy watching my oshis from both sides interact! He's also working hard to memorize english every day as posted on his twitter, and honestly considering how smart he is (bomb defusing, morse), I fully believe he's capable of getting fluent really fast, especially if he keeps at it!
he was in oliver's jump king stream today as well, where fulgur, yugo, ike, and suha also dropped in, so there was a lot of english flying around especially in the beginning with fulgur! i'm looking forward to more international collabs with him, and mega props to his determination to learn so he could communicate better! he really is amazing
I'm glad Nagao seem to have enjoyed the Minecraft collab as much as I enjoyed watching it, definitely looking forward to seeing collabs in the future 💜
I’m impressed that nagao can just listen and understand though. I wish my Japanese was on that level. Makes me wanna try Japanese again but time is such a factor.

Nagao did say that he stayed in Canada for a month. I’m in a VΔLZ discord and searched for the time I remember someone saying Nagao did mention going to Canada, so that one’s true.

I think the 4 guy combo from Mika's NekoPara stream (Mysta, Ike, Sonny, and Alban) is good for Nagao to collab with. Just enough loudness, mischief, and _nihonggo jouzu_ to start with. But if he wants to _really_ learn in a more academic/educational way then maybe Elira, Petra, Ike, and Shu. I'd add Oliver but he might teach Nagao to -bully- tease Petra lol
I think he’d be fine with both? He does some proper learning off stream anyways.

I know how Nagao feels, I don't speak Japanese but if I joined Niji EN I'd attempt to devote my time to understanding standing his language so I could collab with guys like Maimoto and Yashiro. They sound like an interesting party right there.
Watching this literally seconds after coming from Selen's stream where she just said "I saw a clip of Nagao senpai saying he wanted to collab with EN more, and he mentioned Alban and I thought hey I could do that so I did " and my heart is so full. I don't watch the JP livers from either corp. Too often cause I can't understand 85% of what they're saying, but I love watching clips like this where they talk about what their plans are, especially when it's about learning English to talk to the EN branches! Learning a new language is hard as hell, ESPECIALLY En to Jp and vice versa, so it's really commendable!

I think it'd be good if they first collab with people who know both their language and the language they want to learn so as they talk throughout the stream they could also learn about it like How Elira and Prof were teaching Mika Japanese words/terms

VALZ is one of my fave gens in Niji Jp with Genzuki as my oshi so i was so happy when Nagao was interacting with Niji En and is planning to collab with them more. If Genjuki interacts with Niji En esp Ike whom both are great producers of their own right, i would literally ascend

It’s not! It’s actually just his misunderstanding and the phrase “Kaida will bring his girlfriend to the aquarium” would be correct. The Japanese word he used to describe his own misunderstanding is mostly used for objects though, which is why I translated it this way.

"bring" means to take or go with (someone or something) to a place.
"持っていく" = "持つ" + "行く(go)"
"持つ" means to have or keep something (not used for someone).
したがって、長尾さんのように、"bring"と"持っていく"を一対一で対応させて覚えている人は誤解してしまったということですね。

Yeah , english is easy because unlike japanese words don't change meaning if you mispronounce one letter.
Also you can speak by simple words , words like "the" are to add coeciveness.
You can probably understand my english and i only took standard classes in junior , mostly learnt from games.
